Mazda has not fired the trailing plugs during cranking since 1992.

 

well they do now. Cams flash does not change trailing ignition on start up.
Maybe a few others out there can check.

I have verified the leading-only crank on 8 or 10 cars now from all years in the USDM. (Back when I was researching the hard-start issue.)

Something else is happening here.

My car still do not work ... same **** (from 6month now) !
very very very hard time to start, idle to 3rd gear ok but after it's bullsh*t
BHR is helping me, i am waiting for the new fuel pump assembly.
After, I'll contact mazdamaniac to tune the car (has I got MSD coils)

I am done with pettit guys because they are not able to help.

If after the fuel pump It do not work : I burn it or I just put the car in a warehouse waiting for some years to see whatodo...sending it to banzai racing to install 20bT ? buying a supra ?

Mine fires all four when starting, but mine is not a Mazda flash.
Maybe there is a bit to be flipped on in the flash that fires all four when cranking?

See the importance of a good vacuum to the oil pan AND getting your oil temps up to proper temperature for a length of time?
I am taking my engine out of course and it has been setting for some days, but i thought this would be interesting.

No spoogh on my engine since I switched to Royal Purple 10W-40 25k ago.

BTW, I just changed my tranny RP gear oil to Redline MT-90 today. Going to take it for a spin tomorrow after my second radiator install and see if it made a difference with my 3rd to 4th hard shifting.

 

this is WITH royal purple. Had it in for a track w/e--only.

Then you either had a busted/leaky water jackets rubber seal or something leaking coolant into you oil supply.

 

not loosing any coolant? IDK?
I do remember when we pulled several oil pans while we were installing the mazmart oil pressure mod and we were surprised to find more of this stuff than we thought.
This is the most I have ever seen.
No steam out the tail pipe when running (after warm up).
