My friend Silver Eight won TTD both day with a best time of 1:43 --he is running on 1 yr old R888's !!
He also has the RB single exhaust--different sound.
Look closely and that red RX7 with the serious wing on it --is one that Cam from Pettit Racing brought to the track
Silvereights car has about 90K on it.

I did the registration for the site it only took about 2 minutes. Although it says I have to wait for for the administrator to authorize my account before I can login, so it may be another 24 hours.

 

I cant get anywhere near it.... It just says I'm forbidden.

Rd Atlanta is a GREAT track--not a lot of runoff room at some key turns but hey thats tracking.
I see speeds a little above 140 on that back straight then have to brake to about 70 for the left handed one (10A). It doesnt look like it but turn 1---the one after to go down the long hill and pit out---is a triple digit turn if you have the *****. Car can get light at the top of that turn.
Pavement temps were 140+ that w/e.


Guys I am thinking od swapping the location of my battery and intercoolant tanK ( I have that big moroso one), want to move the heat of the tank away from the air filter and thought it may look a little better? Thoughts?

I HAVE A PROBLEM. HELP?

Its friday the 13th.
Last night i was working on my coolant tank--wanting to make a custom tir down for it and One of the mounts I made has a bolt that is the same bolt that the battery ground is on.
I was rushed (wife and dogs) and I didnt pay attention that the ground was being connected and disconnected (maybe 4-5 times). Yes I left the positive cable hooked up--i am a dumass.
No sparks or anything like that.
When I was through, i didnt start the engine, i just switched it on to insure my a/w cooler pump was pumping. After seeing that it was I turned it off.
Now this morning I go to crank it up. Doesnt want to crank. I had to use part throttle to get it going. Now I have very rich a/f's of 10's to 11's (per my innovate gauge), but in open loop it does fine.
My idle is now at 1500 rpms (warm up mode??) even when the engine is at 180F. And the a/f's are at 11-12.
PLUS my DST/TC light in the dash will not turn off--no matter what.????????
Now this is all on the way to work this morning. So I havent had the chance to check codes etc.
Yes, I did the pedal dance, battery cable and room fuse reset.
Have I somehow blown a front o2 sensor? Or something else?But that still doesnt address the DST/TC issue?
I hate gremlins like this.

Start with fuses..and make sure everything is connected ;(

 

Check your MAF sensor connection, harness, and connector.

Does that work?

 

Is the ground making full ground?

Also, check your fuses in the engine comparment fuse box.

See what happens when you let the wife/dogs intefere with RX8 work.
