wheel to wheel thing done 1st thing.
i plan to recheck ground-- but that seems to be ok?
yep to check all fuses including the one in the interior drivers side for the dst/tc.
I am thinking something is interferring with either the maf or the o2 sensor and I bet the friday the 13th gremlin has cut a wire somewhere.
But that still doesnt answer the steady state fast idle (like warm up idle), or the dst/tc light.
It has to be more than one thing.
And all i did was disconnect the battery grounding cable and remove that tank! Jeez.

think i found it! my water meth system is triggered by the maf. the wire i spliced into the maf with had a spot that had gotten pinched and the insulation was broken, it could have been up agaisnt some metal. since i had a bunch of stuff apart i decided to clean my power steering connectors etc. i dont have it put back together yet to see for sure. i was throwing maf and front o2 sensor codes.
what clued me in was when i turned my w/m system on --it didnt work.
I bet the dst /tc was a side affect of this.

Which was why I directed you to the MAF harness, connector, etc.

I learned about the TC/DSC being linked to the MAF sensor a while back when I once forgot to reconnect Phil's sensor before I started the car. Then, I later did it on my own car. DUH for me!

Is it just on/off or does it increase the rate as maf voltage climbs ?

Ok, im trying to figure out what to do because lack of managment for an 09 is kinda keeping me from completing my instal. Its killen me. My options are 1, interceptor, dammit. Would it be possible to instal a 4 port ECU? The only control it lacks is the 5 and 6 port valves, yes important but can be delt with on a 09. Maybe even using 2 ECUs in some way.

oh yea--sorry i didnt get back to yall---it was that water meth line that was tied into the maf.
While i was at it i modified the a/w cooler cooler and pumping system.
have a track w/e at road Atlanta in 3 weeks and it was also a good time to start track prep.
Always surprised at the little things I find.

My car always run this way with the S/C :
1500RPM idle + DSC/TC light + very rich a/f + horrible gas smell at the exhaust (even in idle) !

Not sure, ive been out of the loop for a while. Im woundering about the smartest way to aproach this. Im thinking just instal the blower and go from there. Leave the bypass valve unhooked till I can sort out the managment.

Ha, slowly add boost till the ECU learns to deal with it....

you are hooked dude!

09's seem to be a different kind of car/engine.
mop system totally changed
4 injectors for 6 ports
different warm up restrictions
among much else.
Greatly improved car.
Seems to me that since the Mazda "code" is now known then someone with knowledge could make the changes per flash?
I wonder if Bill would come back, since no one else seems interested?

I'm pretty sure Bills not going to come back. Deon is tuning for Rentec so I'm sure he's got his own thing going. What ever happened to Hymee, did he get sick again. Has anyone herd from him? It looks like I'm stuck figuring this out for myself. I have a few options but a flash is looking pretty grim.

HKS FCON works as someone in the UK is using one.... still not ideal though, but I guess working is better than non existent R3 flash for now....

Yeh, seems like an affordable option. Id rather go with the HKS then the interceptor. I wounder if its a piggyback or stand alone. I might also need to swap out my injectors. Im not sure if the injectors provided will keep up with the fuel demand. Im not really worried about the OMP controls since ill premix even fatter just in case. I wounder if im going to get more preasure because I cut the IC volume buy 1/3rd. Wont know till I try.
On Wesses car I mounted his coils to plastic without the metal backing plate. I think thats going to keep the coils alive ALOT longer because your not going to get the ark through the epoxy to the backing plate. Any thoughts?

Hmm, forgot about that. Is it plug and play? or can I wire it into the harness. If so it would be better to hardwire it in that way I can pick what to connect and what not to. Can you post a link?
