This just in: Lady Gaga prefers turbos to S/C, especially in rotary applications.

Who knew?

I was teetering but not any more! If Lady Gaga likes it, my check is in the mail!

I wonder which one blows more, Lady Gaga or a GT3071R? Or would sucks fit better?

Hmm.... reminds me of the old one about someone being able to suck-start a Harley, although such lowbrow humor more properly belongs in the Turbo Fanboi Threads than on a proper Supercharger Thread

Denny, that's a nice lift. I like that it's lightweight and portable. Probably designed to for owners of British sports cars for convenience of repairs of daily breakdowns

man if you are not careful you are going to get in really good shape from all that running!

I dont have a garage--work outside --so the portability is a real good thing for me.

No garage? Do you have indoor plumbing?

Not when I am working on the car
That is what trees are for.
I didnt have indoor plumbing until I was 13 yrs old. Had the old outhouse and at night you had to fight the chickens for a spot.

Let me guess... Once you saw your first rotary you abandoned your Amish upbringing?

Not exactly. He still had horses pull the '8 until Pettit Racing introduced their supercharger, and then he became the heretic we all know and love today

Kane: I can't help it, your new avatar reminds me more of a turbo than a Mark (?) Dive Helmet

Ha!

My secret is out.
Guys I have a new mount for the a/w coolant pump.
I upgraded mine with a live bait tank pump and mounted it in the space beside the drivers oil cooler. Drilled the plastic and placed the pumps fitting in them and now once the hoses are attached it is self supporting.
I also spilt the a/w coolers so i can get more center (direct) flow to my secondary/primary radiators. Works better. Especially during low speed
I need to take pics but my son has a place of his own now and is not around--lol

nice vids!
To bad you are having to shift so many gears in the 1/4?
13.5 on street tires is pretty dang good.
60 ft time slow?

Cam and crew at Road Atlanta this w/e/ They have 3, 7's with them and have purchased a 3 rotor yellow rx7 to fix up for a customer. he is working on some Audi type led lights for the 7 and they look sweet
We rescued their hot butts and brought them into the RV. It was really good to see them again.
The 900 and 1000hp Toyo Scion team are there this w/e and I thought they would be faster.

I wish you would run your car again, but maybe in a little cooler not so typical FL weather and on drag radials. You might pull a 12.9 with a mid-range RPM launch.

Do you think the tranny and rear end could handle it?

too much wheel hop would probably happen?
All Juan would have to do to break the 13 sec--is to get rid of about 150lbs of foo-foo stuff( ) he has on the car, skinny tires up front (people are surprised how much that helps) run 100% gas (not ethanol 10%), turn his w/m down, put taller tires on the rear so he can get through the 1/4 in 3 gears, pull the a/c belt, and run without the alternator. Bingo--sub 13 sec car.

Lol, that sure would shave off a few 10th's, but it sounds like my muscle car days with my 65 Nova and it's pizza cutter's up front...

You just reminded me of how a car with a setup like that would drive, and it makes me once again appreciate one that is great in the twisties over a straight liner.

And Phil, speaking of 150 lbs, just imagine how much faster your car would be if your avatar had a breast reduction

Where does a beer-run setup figure in that spectrum

Probably but I wasn’t trying that hard. In fact, I didn’t even do a burnout cuz the weather conditions were horrible. I went to the track cuz I met some local rotor heads and they invited me to the track. The drag strip is not really the RX8 forte. It’s stronger at a road course.
