I'm headed over to Dynolab Inc. to see Denny today at his tuning session. Will post vids and pics ASAP.
EDIT:
Just talked with Denny. Seems he's still having issues so he's not coming up today.
Denny, good luck friend. One day you will look back on this and laugh. I'm sure right now it's starting to get a little frustrating.

I am having LOTS of fun. Learning a lot also. This is my 1st attempt at self indulence with high pressured air being forcefully rammed down the TB of my beloved rotary engine.
As my friend stated --I didnt make the tuning session. I just got the car on the road today. Once on the road ----errrrr---"things" come to view.
I was just going down the road, feeling pleasantly "heavy' as my back was being pressed into the seat and then "Bam". Engine quit. totally dead. Uhhhhh---Ok? God must have needed somemore laughs and i am sure he got a lot when he saw the expression on my face after the motor died. i am ablut 1 1/2 miles from home, no cell phone, no tools, no dogs no food and no beer. hell i didnt have nothing cept a dead 8 on the side of the road.
So I got out, cussed out the nearest pine tree, turned to the car with an expression of pure hate. I am sure i heard God laugh, but it turns out it was just John Boy and Billy on the radio.
I pop the hood, say a pleasant hello to that very familar engine bay and began an interesting dissection. and low and behold there it was. @ pop'ed vacuum hoses. Clamps gone, hard to reach. Engine hot, God is laughing and john Boy and Billy are playing a damn disco song---I hate disco. I really need a beer--hell i really need 2 beers!!
Ok hotshot Mr. S/c man--what now? The vacuum line was the co-joined Jet air, oil jet one. it blew apart. Made the car stop dead in its tracks and would not start. After thinking and thinking and briefly considering writing a sign that said "Will trade broken 8 for 2 cases of cold beer and one bag of kettle cooked potato chips, I had an Eureka moment! Remebering watching the old McGyver TV series i obtained 2 clean sticks fronm the roadside bushes and rammed them down the vacuum lines throats. Damn---it worked! I drove home never reving over 2 k. I did not want to blown the sticks out. With my luck i would have speared something with a badge and irittable mood.
I made it home--showed my family my ingenuity and stood by as they actually rolled on the ground laughing. 2 long sticks sticking out of the engine bay like that did look kind of stupid. Oh Well --i made it home.
Lesson learned---every connection--vacuum or coolant or airway or anything else==on a supercharged car needs STRONG clamps and connectors.
Currently having the dreaded"belt rattle". trying to adjust the belt a little (to oem tight--right?)--guess i need a better idle? Rattle goes away once you give a little gas.
Some 'popping" going on. dont know why i am getting that much surge.
My car wants to idle all the time at around 1.2-1.5 K (after it warms up). NO vaccum leak anywhere.
My vacuum lines are as follows
1- the male fitting on the rear bottom of the compressor--to intake --before the TB.
2- the chamber vacuum oem unit is attrached per instructions --with a one way valve and to the upper intake manifold.
3- the SC blow off valve is also attached to the upp intake manifold vacuum harness.
4- the line that is in the front of the SC i ran to the bottom of the car aka nascar downdraft type vacuum
5- the power brakes are attached to the dedicated vacuum on the intake part behind the TB
6- the jet air and the oil injector line are butted into each other(sticks are gone
Does that sound right to all/ Wonder why my idle is so high?

I love this group. Thanks for the help all. Rest assured it is just a matter of settling her in. Little things. I do keep a cell phone with me now at ALL times. Even in the backyard. with Joe's flat bed towing on speed dial.
in my tired old head--i still dont understand 'vacuum from a pressurized intake."
If I am running the int x I wonder why I need the maf? Intake temps are direct to the int x also NOT the maf.
Hope to fix the belt clatter today--anyone else ever had that? You know -its sounds like bad bearings knocking in the compressor. It is usually a rough idle associated noise that clears right up when you give it some gas.

How many miles do some of you guys have on your car now after the Petit SC install? Are you an aggressive daily driver and did you change your driving habbits any after the install? By change, I mean things like shifting gears at different RPM than before, rev matching to shift down etc. Just wondering what effect the SC has on the daily drive.

You don't need the MAF w/ the interceptor. But i've been told if you hook it up your traction control will work again. If you're referring to the knocking noise when you first crank the car that is normal. Cam told me to switch the ignition to the on position without cranking, then pump the brake pedal 15-20 times. Switch ignition of, then crank. Not only does this calm the idle down(Also works when sitting at stop sign/light), but is seems to make the knock go away on a cold startup.

I put my MAF in because i prefer to have the traction control if i need it...
traction control will not work without installing the MAF....
and thats one more light i dont have to look at on the dash..
i dont think its a situation of "you dont need the MAF if you have the x" but i might be wrong..

With the Protek-R, and S/C 13,500
With the Protek-R, S/C and Flash 2,000
With the Protek-R, S/C, Flash and Methanol 900
Total miles on the car 13,900
I purchased the car May 1, 2007 it's an 07 6spd, I am the first owner. It had 13miles when I drove up the lot. It had 599 miles when I dropped it off at the Pettit Shop. As you can tell it's my daily driver.
Driving habits after the install:
I wanted to drive every where.lolol
Still do I have to force my self to let it rest and use the wife's car.
If the car is not at the normal operating temp. I shift at 3k.
If the car is at normal operating temp 5k.
When ever I get the chance to step on it I do.
Usually at night on the highway or rural highway no one around. Lets just say that I know what the top speed is.
Rev matching, heel and toe I try my best.
I would consider my self and aggressive daily driver. You can ask Moon or Cam.lolol
The result of the S/C on the daily drive it makes it fun. I have the power I need on tap to move out of the way of some of these crazy drivers. Before the S/C I was having to give more gas to attain the power I needed. I would have to start giving gas way before any lane change, having always to time maneuvers. With the S/C none of that peace of mind knowing I had what I needed when I needed it.
It has given me more time to be on the cell phone and drinking my Beer.
LMFAO!!!!! I was j/k.
Bottom line it has made the daily drive 10x more enjoyable over stock.

I didn't mean to rub it in.
YES I DID!!LOLOLOLOL
Seriously the car is so smooth it's not even funny. It pulls so evenly, well just look at the dyno sheets.
hehehe
I love living in driving distance to the shop 1hr 45min away.

I'm home again and got to look at your pics. Although I would love to have my tc working, i'm currently waiting for Cam to get his CNCd intake adapters for the MAF/flash. That way I don't have to do any cutting.
