i wonder why the electrical scematic is differant than the actual wiring concerning the coils? The scematic has the trigger wire located in the middle of the connector but the actual site is the right handed side. Curious.
anybody out there??

wait a min---the scematic has the trigger wire color coded y/g (for example) has the pin in the middle of the connector--correct? In acutally on the 2 harness's I have worked with that wire the y/g one is on a pin on the side of that connector--not in the middle. Further more the solid black wire(ground) in these hareness's is in the middle of that connector. On the schematic it is shown as being on the side.
I am talking about the diagram in the schematic that has all four coils shown in a group. I know it is differant in the individual pictures of each coil connector.
got yall's attention?

No. You are misreading the schematic.

I think the problem is OD is reading the schematic as if it were a diagram.
The order of the coil connector wires is shown as "C - A - B" in the schematic for clarity, even though the actual connector is "A - B - C".
That is how schematics work. They aren't a physical representation of the layout of components. Rather, they are a sort of "flow chart" that explains the movement of electrons in the clearest fashion possible, without regards to the configuration of the hardware.

^^ Yup...Mazda especially tends to put things in the easiest way to read/draw layout...not in the actual plug layout...that's why they put the plug diagrams on as well

Well guys and girls I took the car this morning for a dyno test after my last mods. Everything looked promising to brake the 400 whp but to my and Bastage disappointment my car was only able to achieve 327 whp on the first pull and 330 whp on the second. I think all the time spent researching and mods trials did not come to fruition. I’m contemplating listing the car on eBay…NOT!

Many thanks to:

Didn't want to risk it for a couple of more whp. I'm an hour away/50 miles from the dyno location.
