Just for fun.... THIS is a true synergy of stupid power....

More importantly, the superchargers should provide nearly limitless mid-range torque, making turbo lag a non-issue. We're guessing track day would be a hell of a lot of fun with that setup, and we'd imagine that a twin-turbo, twin-supercharged GT-R would sound something like Doc's time-traveling locomotive from Back to the Future.

The stuff in ()... you're good - I gots all your info.

I just want to have some good general specs like snail type - pulley size etc; so people can click the build thread for the ones they are interested in; and not just a kit name.

Hey - does the COBB have a PID for Fuel Pressure? I have a Dashhawk; and no Fuel Pressure reading... the gauge is there; but nothing is reading on it.

That and IAT are my two new concerns for FI - as we seem to be leaving the 300 WHP threshold behind.

With better EMS, that GTR could probably push above 1000HP easy..

But the engine wouldn't last :P

MAF Set-up

I need to get a new air filter today; but here is my replacement for the greddy MAF housing.

I am just mocking it up; make sure it works - then it is off for new clamps and powdercoating and couplers. So far it has taken my idle g/sec from 7 down to 6 - which seems more accurate; no Fuel Trim Data yet.

i still laugh everytime i see or think about the zip ties on your BOV there just has to be a better way

thats a pretty steep changine in diameter, but i guess you have enought room before the MAF for things to smooth out

I hope so - the pipe into the CAI area is the best fit for that hole - and it was laying around = free.... I need to find a screen too - I seem to have lost my OEM ones.

The zip tie is just in case.

It is oblong in shape - but about 3" top to bottom. The factory airbox makes it even a smidge smaller.

You wanted specs on mine, well idk its just the stock turbo that came with it.. Once i get her all modded for the 16+psi modes, i will get a GT35 and put that on. So then it wont have that "Cheap" turbo.

If you take the airbox out - you should be fine with a 3 incher; I don't know about a 3.5 all the way.... probably do-able.

Do you know what the stock one is? I thought someone had the specs on it. GT3571; or the GT3580? Your thoughts on that?

Hmm, that super T70 looks to have a dual Exhaust Flange.....the Esmeril does not right?

Looks like Garrett droppped the 3571 and 78? Wierd.
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...R_714568_3.htm - This is close to the one that is on the FD I built with Faille... it spools pretty quick.

i wouldn've SWORN that it was confirmed in this thread shortly after post #166 to be at least visually identical to the XS-Power turbo, but that thread has had many posts edited and deleted since then..

I was the one that gave him that link to XS website.. You guys do know they dont really make bad products. Im on the supra forums, and skyline forums. And i have seen kits made by them being used on some of the supra/skylines i have seen. If they dont have trouble with their products im sure its because they are decent.

DIY MAF tube

seeing as we are into "show us your MAF" mode , this is what I did . Works perfectly .
Note 3.5" pipe goes right through to air filter . The filter is a little small but only just fits in that location to make everything straight - no bends before the MAF

Kane, I own a 1.7L twin screw(heh..he). I'll be installing some custom pulley ratios in the near future, which also happen to be cogged instead of serpentine. You can add me to the list and i'll post some results here, but I'll probably end up starting a thread with pics regardless.

Is that the Pettit Set-up Mork? If so I'll update all the SC folks accordingly.

BTW - Brettus; that filter looks pretty good; if I can't get mine done in the AM; I may have to try that with my little filter I have that is like that.

Just wanted to mention (hoping that they might be lurking on the forum and looking at this thread):

Kane's MM upgrade is actually the #9 install (#8 if you don't include my own) and there are 5 more shipping presently.

I'd really like to see the Mediterranean and Asian MM turbo people chime in since their experiences will probably be of a somewhat different flavor than the North American installs.

Kane - I didn't mean to take the wind out of your sails with that.
