Sorry I haven't made them into a pdf file, but here they are as jpg's. There will be five attached to this and two attached on the next post.
You should copy these out of here and save them on your computer and then open them up, that way you can read them much better.

Yes, your MS paint artwork is correct. Hey Mazurfer your still running this? I have since 2/2008 without any issues.

OEM L1 Green => MS Grey / Red
T1 White => MS Grey / White
L2 Yellow / Green =>MS Grey / Black
T2 Blue / Orange =>MS 2 wires a red & Grey

As for the MS harness to NEW coils I was told by Scott the LAST connector goes to the FIRST coil (L1) and the others follow in order T1,L2,T2

Thanks for the art work props. I learned from the best (Alfy).

Yeah no issues with my set up. And I know other people that have had them on for much much longer with out any issues. Guess its all in the install.

The reason I'm asking all these question is me and another guy where doing my friends install and well to many irons in the fire lol you know how that goes.

We got the MS harnes backwards (see correct set up in attachment) and his car would not start. But we got this fig out now
Thanks all!!!

really?

i went to the track and my ETs dropped 2mph. went back to the track and my ETs drop another 4mph, 6mph total now. i said **** it and put my stock ignition coils in and my ETs went back to 93mph. i was stock at the time, the only mod being the mazsport ignition.

so... take what you want from that.

Love it or hate it, it is what it is and the fact that us desert dwelers have been running it for years in extream heat with out issues is testimony that; its all in the install.

I agree with you, he is still around, I think he may still be involved in parts and such and reads the forum, he may not post.

Gil, you need to correct that statement, only some of us desert dwelers use them. I would not trust my s.c engine to his ignition system. They do seem to work OK on n/a engines but I still don't trust the ignition system.

Well as I was tirelessly digging through these old archives trying to figure out what we did wrong. I ran into a couple of good guys that used like these coils and used them at one point.

I had them on my old 8 (25,000) and they ran great, I salvaged them put them on my new 8 and check the coils and the fired off flawlessly.

Just wiring was put on backwards during the reinstall which is easy to do and others have done it. I had couple of buddies do it since I hurt my leg but I didn't catch it either so no one person is to blame. It was overlooked since we were rushing to get all my mods back on in one very cold night. No harm no foul.

While I'm not so sure they work well for FI applications, they do really well in N/A setup.

Yeah, I'm still running it with no issues what-so-ever, no performance issues....ET's the same as they were.
When/if it ever dies, I know I will be jumping all over the BHR..................unless my Audi R8 comes first!

Hey Phil.......time to change that hat on the avatar ain't it?

Yeah.....I think these do fine in NA applications.
I keep a close eye on mine and have an immediate back-up plan if needed.
I've been meaning to ask Ray how much hassle it will be to change over........I don't think it will be that bad at all, but I'd like to use the wires I already have and maybe the bracket(which might not work).

Strong as molasses - I have about 15K+ on mine. I will be pulling them and placing them up for sale soon. There is no reason not to run them. Reason I am parting with them is that I need the space in my engine bay for another project.

I think we are all well aware of that. The info is out there on exactly what these coils are. Don't think anybody ever said.....you couldn't replace. AJ just asked if they ever die..............and of course..............any coil can die, no matter who makes it.

thats not even the half of it now. there was once a thread i had started/governed simply to organize all of the ugly into one place for the benefit of any victims. that thread is gone now(to no fault of the mods) but anyone who was around then can assure you that once people knew they werent the only ones, they were coming out of the woodwork. There were many more people than what you see in those threads today, though the worst examples still exist

This is not a "good guy bad guy" thread its a thread about ignition coils.

MM aka Jeff said the part number for the coils is on the side of them lol

This solution died out about the same time people finally realised they were crap .
My fitting instructions would be : don't fit them !

No coil adds hp over a properly functioning OE coil either, not sure how this ended up in the Major HP Upgrade forum ... or why what brand/model they are is a hush- hush secret

It helps if you put forth some effort and read, start with this thread like 10 or 20 posts before yours
