There are two grounds on the harness...one goes to a chassis ground point close to the coils...the other goes to the a bolt on the engine block near the bracket.

It really doesn't matter exactly where either go.....other than they need to be good grounds

i backtracked and realized I was losing my mind. Everything is working fine, car is done and it runs pretty good.

At first it almost feels like I am not as fast as I was. Throttle response is WAY better but for some reason WOT doesn't feel as good as earlier. Maybe it's in my head? I'll have to drive it more later to see whats up. Double checked and all my connections are good, so I guess it's in my head haha

You should feel a noticeable difference in power all the way through the power band, my car felt like a new car with a bigger motor in it in every gear, and every RPM.

how were your OEM coils doing before the swap tho, that could have had a lot to do with it.

Nope there is definetly something wrong. Did the pedal dance, then checked against one of my friends that we test mods against and my car was almost 3 cars slower than before. I'm going to take everthing off and start from scratch.

My car only had 20k miles when I changed them out. At 20k miles with oem coils, I was only 3 cars behind my friends 2008 Mustang GT 5 speed from 45-110 mph. He ran a 13.70 1/4 mile 103 mph, I don't think the oem's were faulty. He's scared to race me now

I didn't change my plugs either...

The instructions say you can use the stock plugs.

Call Scott, he can talk you through problems with your coils.

Sounds like your coils are not connected to the right spark plugs. Your wires might be mixed up or the coils are plugged in to the wrong plug.

Check the pins in the connector harness for proper seating as well.

Make sure the connectors are attached in order of the longest one to the coil closest to the front of your car and go in order from there.

Once everything is correct you might be spanking the guys car that you test mods with

This should help to verify that the wires are plugged to the correct coils

I had one trailing wire in the wrong spot, (dont' drink and install car parts) then checked my plugs and well my plugs are shot. Going to buy new ones and hope that unleashes the potential.

Did take a small drive after fixing the wires, car is running much better than before no backfire and idle is a-OK.

Better than before on stock coils? Or just better than it was with wires wrong?

Bingo! Glad to hear man--now enjoy! A little hint--on the lead sparkplug hole there is a space after the sparkplug ends in the housing. Inbetween the end of the plug and the combustion chamber--clean the hell out of it--it carbons up really bad and is a haven for hot spots. There are no threads on this space.

I am having difficulty locating the single, black ignition condenser connector discussed in Step 5 of the install instructions. Can someone please tell me where this is located?

It's taped up with electrical tape to the wire loom behind the gray connectors that plug into the stock coils.

I got everything installed and it works and runs great!! Thanks Scott!!

ok, installed new plugs tonight and made sure everything was absolutely rock solid before taking her out... 2 things I got out of driving it tonight.

1. The inevitable has happened, I'm getting a grind when I redline it in third and shift to fourth. Unfuckinbelivable. Looks like I'll be needing a new tranny soon.

2. The car feels AWESOME! My stock plugs were literally black, the new ones have unleashed the potential that I had been reading about. Midrange response is greatly improved, as is acceleration throughout the band. It just feels so damn smooth and linear. I'm a lot happier than this time of night yesterday.
