I just received mine, it is simply gorgeous. Almost enough to warrant me not going back to work and just putting it in now. Thank you Scott, the quality is undeniably your work.

I'm getting 20 MPG in City/Highway combo driving now, but part of this has to be the Cobb MM tune.

All of it, actually.
The upgraded ignition won't save you any gas. That isn't the point of it.
Its for power and reliability.
I've actually gotten more than a 50% increase under some conditions.

BTW - If anyone has an AP from me and Scott's coils and needs the dwell adjustment, let me know. (This is only needed if you have misfires at high RPM.)
I've sent out a few with Scott's modified values and we should know if it works universally or not in the near future.
I'm pretty confident that it will.

I was j/k. I know all of it is the tune. I don't have misfires, is this for NA or boosted setups that the misfires might happen?

Could be anyone, but it seems to be the FI guys that see it.
The spark strength will decrease with RPM if you don't set the dwell time above 6k, but it might be enough to light-off on an NA application without the adjustment.

I placed the coils on order yesterday, next mod will be the Accessport. I need to get the car reliable first.

The factory dwell setting are perfectly adequate for N/A applications hence the increase in power most customers are reporting.

BTW, thanks for helping the AP guys out Jeff, Scott

Hey Scott - by chance if a fellow had ordered on April 29th, what kind of lead time should he be expecting? No rush, I just want to make sure I have some time set aside to install them when they come in.

Only as one single datapoint:

I am still NA, bang the redline in 2nd and 3rd at least two times a day since my install in March and not a single misfire. To be honest, with the broken left heel I'm suffering right now, I have only driven the car three times over the last three weeks(just to get it out and run it).................but still.................the above data holds true for me. Doc is pissed that I keep attempting to drive the car though..............he can tell by the marks on the bottom of the cast!

Yeah, the OE dwell settings still give the coils just enough time to load up.
So, if your charge densities are close to typical, they will get lit-off, even though the coils aren't charging completely.
The problem surfaces when you combine the relatively retarded ignition timing and high charge densities of FI.

Could this also be the reason why when i installed the coils without the AP and after the ap instalation It felt a lot stronger in the mid range and it felt like the upper RPM remained unchanged or even back to how it was even before the coils were installed.

because i noticed my upper RPM didnt seem to pull as hard.. and i know because my buddy i used to pull him before i installed anything

In the mid range i pull him really hard (5K-7K)but once the high rpms come in He begins to creep and when i shift i pull and once again he creeps.. i dont recal him creeping up on me before..

sure its just a little bit.. but still

maybe its all in my head.. ill know for sure once i get my dyno just waiting on scott to send that Midpip

On a serious note I may have seen this at my last track day. Right now the theory is fuel starvation after a long left hand sweeper that the PCM recorded as misfires when coming off the corner.

Could the dwell time settings be a possible cause?

VERY unlikely, during testing last year no one reported any misfiring at track days with our Ignition Solution.

Would a code P0171 be related to misfires??

Thats a lean on #2 code, could be caused by a lean misfire, it's not an ignition code.

I'm currently on step 10, the only step without a picture. -__-

install has gone pretty easily thus far I just want to make sure of something. Where am I grounding the black wire, in picture 1 or picture 2?
