In stall my Igniton upgrade onto my NA 2007 6-SPD with 6K miles. It was not to hard to install although if I did not have some long extensions it would have been much harder. The directions with pictures were written fairly well. Although the pictures did not always help. The hardest part was trying to find a nut or bolt that a dropped. Took me about 2.5 hours, would have been under 2 hours if I did not drop anything. My one suggestion is to put your new plug wires on before you install the ignition coil bracket, I guess if you put it on jack stands you could put the wires on from under the car but for me it would just be easier to get it from the top. Your choice.

I used my GTEC Pro before and after with almost identical conditions and I am seeing about 5 HP and it does not seem to fall off as fast after 8K RPM. Torque looks about the same. After my next fill up I will drive it as normal as possible to check for any MPG improvements.

All in all I am pleased with the product and the improvements. I plan to go FI at some point so I would have needed to get it some day. If you are staying NA I would wait for the upgrade until you warrenty is up or your coils are bad $600 for 5HP is a little step but every HP gain on this car is expensive.

Oh, if you want shipping confirmation and tracking you should e-mail or call mazsport. I would not have heard anything if I did not ask.

Thanks Highway8, we appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you are happy with your product.

We did include one extra bolt, nut, washer and lock washer for just such situations.

Thanks again for you feedback, points noted, Scott

I have to ask the obligatory "will this work on a 4-port AT"? I would assume that it would. Not planning on doing it right now, but you never know...

I'm really impressed that you did this . There is nothing worse than realising that you are one nut short to finish the job . That one little missing 10 cent nut can end up costing you lots of money and time ......

Oh, I forgot. Those stock bolts for the coil bracket work great to replace the stock ground bolt that I happened to drop and never find.

I completely agree Brettus.

I have been the guy standing there at 10pm on a Saturday night saying "if I just had a _____ I could finish this and drive it tonight".

Our shop name for this is the "butter finger bolt" at some point it happens to everyone.

Added cost 75cents, having it at 10pm on Saturday night........

I almost lost one of those acorn nuts off the coil pack because I tried backing it off to far so I could get it to set in. Not sure if you could make that a little easier or not, but trying to get all four washers to stay on the outside of the bracket and not back out the acorn nuts to far was a little tough for me.

Just got back from dyno and dinner with the club.

I don't have a sheet (to save time they saved all the sheets to a computer file, but I will have a physical print out on Monday that I will post up)

202-rwhp and 139 rear-wheel torque.

Performance mods as follows:
-Uminitza carbon fiber intake
-HKS Hi-Power exhaust
-Mazsport Ignition Solution
-Fidanza flywheel
-ACT Clutch kit
-Agency Power crank pulley
-Throttle body coolant bypass mod
-other stupid stuff
-Running the stock cat

The car feels noticeably better with the new coils. Install took about 3 hours including 3 beers and staring at the directions for a while to make sure I did everything right.

I must say the kit is extremely complete, even includes a custom aluminum bracket to mount the relay (they could have just thrown in an extra zip tie), and even an extra bolt for the coil bracket in case you drop one and loose it. The instructions are great, the pictures could be better but they still help. My only suggestions would be labeling the connectors for the PnP harness, just to make it that much easier.

Overall I am very impressed with this product, and I recommend it.

That's awesome Dave! I think I had an extra bolt and some washers left over after my install. When I laid the PnP harness out in the same manner as the pictures it went together pretty easy. Where all did you use the zip ties? I think I had a couple of those left over too. I could have accidently been grabbing some from my stock tho. Anyway, glad to see you break the 200 rwhp mark N/A!!!

Thanks, Tommy! Yeah I had some left over parts (remember some are leftover from the stock coils) and Scott included a BUNCH of extra zip ties. The only ties I used were on the stock ignition coil connectors, when bundling them up under the UIM. I zip tied the whole thing bunch together and zip tied it back so it would be secure, but the new coils block their exit anyway. Still extra insurance I guess.

I'm working on it! Custom pipe is in the works. Maybe without my cat I'll break 210?

Thats pretty good numbers with stock cats . With it looking like that ,you could probably get 210+ with high flow cat or cat deletion pipe, and Interceptor-x tuned.
I'm feeling a 212-215 rwhp with those added. I recently put my stock cats back on for warranty work and I feel a big difference in the high RPMs from when I had my Agency Power catless mid-pipe. Lower RPM's still feel the same but from around 7000+ it revs up noticeably slower. I think I am going to order the Mazsport Ignition as the next part on my list for my Turbo setup. Thanks for the info.

an extra benefit--with this much spark --now everyone should be able to run the cheaper rx7 spakplugs--Scott has the correct washers for spacing.

It is going to take some time to make these things. Once you get yours you will understand. Believe me when I tell you that it is worth the wait...

Here's my dyno for anyone that wants to see it:

Peak was 201.9 rwhp (202 rounded) and Torque 138.9 (139 rounded). The dyno was done on Dynapack's and the numbers are SAE Corrected.

I did three pulls, all in 3rd gear, with the best being the first pull. Power trailed off after the other pulls, with the lowest being 195-rwhp.

What was it in the exact vehicle condition before the coils? A to B comparison, you know?
