202 hp is definitely a good number especially with stock cat because i got 202 without cat. you will for sure get around 210 without the cat.

stock FDs put out about 217 to the wheels...so thats pretty good - granted the gearing and torque numbers are different.

Forgive me for not keeping up with the entire thread, but i am assuming by the extaordinary wait time that these things are custom made upon each order (or group of orders), correct? Apparently they arent "stocking the shelves" with them. So it would be safe to say a general wait of 6-8 weeks is a safe bet?

Unofficially........"Yep" on all counts. I'm sure they will catch up at some point in the future and have some on hand. Lots of pre-orders and I imagine lots of interest since. Demand exceeds supply at the moment???????

Fixed.......didn't want anyone out there thinking the are heavy or something.

^^^ummmmm because they were afraid this wouldnt sell very well??? LOL yeah right.
They had to have known this would be a huge seller on all fronts. Doesnt make too much sense why they wouldnt have stocked up on such an anticipated solution prior to release but hey, im sure they had their reasons. Im sure there were budget reasons in the mix. Just hope they kick it into high gear so as to catch up w/ demand by end of Spring....of course thats when i plan to get it

I believe he's referring to chickenwafer's NA RX-8 in comparison to the TT FD.

If the kits were being built before taking orders you would still be waiting. Only noone would hav e the kit yet, and everyone would still be hounding them about when they were going to release. Either way i am sure they are working as quick as they can

if they are making them fast as possible, and they still do not have enough, they would still be building up there stockpile of units before they would release them and send them all out.

Scott, when you order these do you get billed upon shipment or billed up front?

Keep in mind that his entire business is not building ignition kits - I'm sure he has one or two other things going on

Mazsport Ignition Solution.

The RX-8 factory ignition system has proven to be a weak link in terms of power and reliability. After several months of testing we are proud to release a complete plug and play ignition upgrade solution for the RX-8. We have been testing this system in stock, modified N/A and in many forced induction configurations with great success.

SEE DYNO RESULTS http://www.mazsport.net/ignitiondynoresults1.htm

Features:

4 - 45,000 coils
Aluminum mounting bracket provides improved ignition coil cooling
Plug and play connectors for the factory engine harness
Mazsport custom high performance spark plug wire set

Benefits:
Easy to install with common hand tools in about one hour
Compatible with all RX8 applications
Does not require aftermarket engine management
One year limited warranty
Built in tech support (As with all new Mazsport products)

This is an excellent upgrade from the weak factory ignition system
