what do you think most of us are using here??
too funny...
yes, most of us have upgrades to the turbo, but really the stock greddy at 9 psi feels damn good
also the tire thing....you are not going to be in boost all the time...you can control it you know....lol
if you don't hammer it, it drives like stock

Tire wear isn't too bad either, nor is the gas mileage. I don't drive around in full boost everywhere, but the power is there when and where I need it. If I need to merge into fast traffic its not too hard to blip the throttle and catch up to traffic, or to execute a quick pass on the highway.
The better my tune gets the better the experience is too.. right now I have to shift early because the car is super rich above 10 lbs, but its getting closer and closer to where it should be.
But because you can't really go WOT non stop, your fuel economy, tire wear, etc. will all be similar to stock. So unless you are stop light racing, or burning out all the time, it's not going to cost you much more to use than before the turbo.
Here is my SFR kit. I think i have the only/highest dyno on the forums from their kit.
Something new is in the works though

Lol.
LOL again
Im always right.
IDK, I love to go WOT. Feels good and I clean out the carbon. Well you know what I mean, just slapping on the Greddy turbo and not upgrading the coupler thing or wtv it's called is dumb. If I wanted to turbo my car, I would do it right.
I really should drive one though. BTW, how much power does a stock Greddy give you at 6 psi? 250whp?
Well yeah I do know about the gas mileage being the same until you are in boost... but do any of you guys get much turbo lag? And does it take a long time for the small little turbo to spool up?
Trust me I can.
Naw in all seriousness, I do think it's a good idea, supercharging isn't bad either, but you need quite a bit of money to buy it... which really isn't my cup of tea. So turbo Ftw as it's cheap and reliable with a decent tune. Im not that ignorant about all this supercharger vs turbocharger bs. It's just basically a different alternative, nothing is worse or better. (But I do think going Turbo is better)
You should post your dyno here, looks like the stock power curve, but you have 120whp more :D
I really need to update and fix my car... if I get the Ignition kit I hope I can get back to stock power... 164whp is kinda on the low side. Next year I want to try to get atleast 200whp. A midpipe, Header or catback, Ignition, and a properly tuned accessport should get me there :D

Driving a turbocharged RX-8 will never become boring for me. When I get tired of zooming around town or to and from work I make sure to take some time on a nice day to hit the local twisties hard and remember why the car is amazing. I did a run through a local mountain road over the weekend and fell in love with the car all over again.

You want to know what it's like driving a turbo RX8? It's exactly the same as a NA RX-8 until you give it enough load to spool up the turbo. Then it's just like a NA RX-8, but with 100+ more power spinning the wheels. Basically it is just like you'd imagine.

Here are my dyno result graphs. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...27674&page=249
I am happy and glad to prove the Nay Sayers wrong. A 4port A/T can make HP. Not done yet.

Phil did good that day. And there's still some left in the box.
I dyno'ed that day too. I had 120 NA and 162 N20. There was something wrong with the dyno after Jedi got off of it.
Have to wait till November and use the DynaPak.

yeah, sorry bout that Easy. With the recent addition of my Racing Beat header, the dyno just couldn't handle my Supreme POWAH!!!

Thanks everyone for the interest in this product... I am offering these at a substantial discount from the BHR product. My version needs to be assembled when delivered but is 100% identical. All PMs replied!
