On the later Greddy kits the jet air comes off the pressure side just before throttle plate - so should work ok in that scenario .
The older ones that come off the intake post maf .................NO !

Finally got her back today. Got some pictures (of unrelated mods) and a dyno chart. She ran really rich but that may have something to do with the fact that it is was about 5F out today. The BNR upgrade sounds (and feels) nothing like the original turbo. On the way home I kept looking for the cop trying to pull me over... The snail sounds just like a cop siren at about 3psi.

I'll post up details in a bit.

Skipped recirculating the BOV for now. I'll likely be ordering a GReddy BOV and recirc kit in the next couple weeks from japanparts.com. I'm tired of this Synapse and the **** poor support they provide. Would you believe they told us that even if we recirculate, without the anti-stall, the car will still stall?!?!? I was like WTF.... because you can't anti-stall and recirc. With that kind of response from them I said F it and will go with a more "mainstream" type solution.

does not sound normal - possible boost or vac leak .

Suggest you talk with Kane on this - he has it and loves it , and i'm sure he does not have a stalling problem.

No leaks, Brettus... just the sound of pure whirling. Fuel trims are near zero.

I'm sure I could just go ahead and get the recirc fitting, run some piping, and fabricate a flange, but screw it! I'm disgusted with Synapse and can likely recoup most of my costs on it on the FS forum here.... there are a ton of Synapse suckers out there

the recirc fitting for the hks ssqv is not hard to find. you just need that, a hose (1", 19 mm, or 29mm depending on the fitting) and to have a nipple or piping outlet of the same size after the maf.

I've heard that about the HKS... I'm thinking GReddy because it's an all in one kit without any downsizing/upsizing/etc of pipes.

Here's my dyno from today. Not sure where the dyno got 40F ambient.... It was fuggin cold.

Let's discuss my pig richness... Jeff should have an opinion here as he did my tuning.

4 port stock injectors billy boat resonated midpipe... #s from the last dyno day (with the stock greddy with much higher ambient temp) on the same dyno was 180ish.... 186 if memory serves correctly.

That's right... My jet air hose is attached to the GReddy charge pipe about 3-4 inches before my throttle plate. I tee'd into it as close to the charge pipe as I could for my wastegate actuator signal so should be good......

Jeff did you figure anything out with my 4.01 Calibration? Should I resend my initial email with my data logs attached to it?

THat is weak... they even mailed me a ton of spare parts for free... who did you **** off? LOL

Synapse VTA is a real waste of engineering.... recirc it and you will see what I mean....

They said that to Dave @ KDR and he relayed the info on to me.

Which port/ports are you using A, B, A+B ? I had a helluva time getting mine to blow properly. Ended up just using port A as it blew through with every other combination.

I need the recirc fitting itself. when i ordered my BOV with the anti-stall, they only shipped me the anti-stall. I'm also going to need some pipe and a flange to weld on before my maf. I'm not sure what ID/OD sized pipe or flange I'll need either.

They did nothing to help Dave get this basic info.

For whichever bov you choose to recirculate, do it AFTER the MAF.

yeah you want the tap after the MAF... I am pretty sure Kris has a reducer from the synapse recirc to the flange

I will get with him to see if I can get some measurements for you

Yeah recirc after MAF, I go from TB pipe to turbo inlet pipe in front of pullies...

Call Ray, he should be able to help you out man. I use all three ports, works like a fuggin charm!

+1,000,000 on the AFTER MAF method.

.
I get away with 11/4" ID , you could probably go one size smaller and still be fine.

I use port B with the source coming from the nipple on the bottom of the UIM right after the TB. Mine is also the old style with the boost only port C which is using a feed from the hot side of the IC piping. Holds boost just fine and no compressor surge that I can hear.

I had a local shop (Piper Motorsports) tap into the intake section that Dave fabbed for me just above where it passes the metal tray that the battery / airbox used to sit on and haven't had any issues. That is basically as far past the MAFS as I could get it, it also allows a pretty smooth bend for the recirculating hose.

The bung needs to be 1.25" internal diameter.

I would stick with the 1.25" ID bung if you can. As seen in this thread people have had issues with compressor surge when using a smaller bung for the intake recirculation fitting.

so basically like this... I too originally had the older style BOV (with the recirc fitting) and dumped it for the newer one with the anti-stall... a week later someone on the forums here bought my old one without me even trying to sell it.

My intake bung is actually pointing towards the front of the car. Your BOV is in the exact same position mine is in and if you put it anywhere besides there you might have a hard time getting a hose to connect from the BOV to the intake without kinks or hard bends.

edit: I will attach a picture of the way I have it setup after work today.

This would be a flow related thing - Shelldude's is flowing 100g/s + less than mine so .....

Perhaps... but if you are going to have to spend money to get it done regardless why not do it right

good point but

What is "right" in one scenario may be overkill in another .... Just sayin
