FAO the 300whp club (turbo)
sup dudes im new 2 diz i jus turned 18 a month ago n i jus got my beautiful rx8 gt nordic green at wished it was mt but its coo da car is stock and im needing help i want to get my car at 300 whp its at 212 and i dnt wanna spend more then 2000 im not intrested in da greddy kit n da esmeril is 2 expensive so u guys got any advice on how to pour up 2 300whp???

......... I literally read what the guy right before you said and saw your post and now I see why you guys respond the way you do. I've been with this forum for nearly 2 months and have never seen so many questions about how to get the rx8 to 300whp without them reading first. I remember when I was trying to install a Greddy turbo on my 350 and even then I didn't just come out on the 350z forum and say how can I get ###WHP

on one of my youtube videos, there is a guy who keeps telling me his NA rx8 makes 270 hp, and that I'm an idiot to pay for a turbo. He thinks larger injectors and porting will let him go to 300 whp. Thus his logic is that turbo = 30 hp gain over stock, and 0 hp gain over his modified NA motor.
I asked him to post on the rx8 and rx7 forums that he can get 300 out of a NA 2 rotor. Maybe gevo24 was the youtube jackass.
it seems that a LOT of people think the rx-8 comes with 230-260 whp for some reason. I think most people don't know hp != whp.

i dont really know what rx-8 u have but there is no rx-8 with 180 hp! i have the rx-8 6 speed manuel and it has (stock) 237 hp!
the 5 manuel is 212 hp!
so 180 hp has to be the 4 speed automatic 2004-2006 rx-8..

Rotary engines don't have much torque, meaning that you'll get more turbo lag.
they come 240hp stock. auto its 200hp flat.
have heard that adding a supercharger is more beneficial for a low torque engine like the RX9. Is this true?

The Rx8 wot is obviously automatic . My manual 6 speed is naturally aspirated and pushes 270hp+ and isn't that far off in response to the 8psi demo run... (and is about 3-5 grand cheaper on my pocket book)

I dont get why there's a boost gauge... its not like it tells you anything useful on the road, unlike a tach- or speedometer..
when u drive a normal stock car and then a turbo such as this can u really feel a boost in power?
this video the turbo's kicking at 5500rpm not giving it enough time to force more air into the engine probably you should change Ecu if you are still running stock for better response
They're actually coming out with a Speed RX-8. There is also a MazdaSpeed3 Extreme... check that out too.
