Have you seen what I have to deal with just to cut through the chaff at 300+?
I'm not in the horsepower business. I'm in the drivability business.

But is not the turbo to make 400 whp with

Perhaps. Surprisingly easy to do, though.

Even more surprising that the best dyno from one of your customers so far is only 307whp .
Look forward to seeing what Chicken will do this qweekend - but I will be very surprised if he gets any more than 340ish .

seems kinda amusing the talks against jeffs upgrade, havent seen a dyno showing the 3071 drop off like the stock greddy yet ^_^

I honestly think both are great options compared to the greddy, both have the water and oil, both transform the car, and provide a greater reliability. The only differences is how they get there.

/\ Not against it one bit - I'm just calling MM out on the 400whp claim . That is all .

And take a peak at the highest hp dyno thread - you may get a surprise .

I would like to see that chart but did you guys ever see a Jeff's chart (or a customer's) one with more than a mere 12psi of boost?

You really dont see too many over 12 psi... but i think Jeff has more than just turbo fiddling to hit 400+ whp

The general rule is that if you are going to publicly make a claim, you also need to publicly back it up or else it didn't happen.

There's more to making power than just selecting a turbo from a compressor map. That's only half of the story and much like torque only a single variable that ultimately isn't the final answer.

/\ Correct. LOL, I just want to find a dyno sheet with 400WHP other than Esmeril but then again esmeril's kit cost more than greddy and so when you upgrade the turbo then you are almost paying as much as the Esmeril kit (kind of) would cost not to mention that they are still trying to find upgrades/better parts to use BUT THIS IS NOT A COMPARISON ITS THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR EVIDENCE I SUPPOSE

Basically bring on the D-sheets, lmao

I don't know what the deal is with the 400 hp thing with the 3071R because Brettus is right that the compressor map doesn't look right for it, but that isn't the only factor and I also believe Jeff's claim about a 400+ dyno. I personally would like him to just post it up to shut people up with a nice big disclaimer "RESULTS NOT TYPICAL" and a list of whatever else is done to the car, which could be a mile long for all I care.

at what HP would you need to upgrade to larger fuel injectors?

because there is 6 fuel injectors, does a person just buy two and move the other four up in line? take out the lowest rating injectors?

do you the turbo guys replace the stock fuel pump? if so what HP?

this is the wrong thread for this but wtf .

you need to upgrade injectors at about 300whp

changing the P2s and leaving the other 4 is the common practice

Fuel pump - recommended if you track the car but there is not a widely accepted upgrade that works at present although MM has one in the wings i believe.

I agree . I understand that the flow map is not the whole story . You only need to compare the greddy flow map with the 293whp dyn run to see it just does not compute . If MM did indeed make 400whp with the 3071 he would have to have been using boat loads of charge cooling and who knows what else to achieve it .
