From what Vlad says(since he is using the same turbo), when the APVs open up the turbo has no problem keeping up.
Yep, turbo has no problem keeping and pushing more and more whatsoever.
I have already tried 11 PSI into fuel cut off at 9250 (as It is set on mine) but with this turbo you definitely need bigger injectors. Anything over 10-11 PSI at above 8K pushes ALL SIX (Stock) injectors into above 80% duty cycle (staying at mid to high 10 AF) I could get more headroom running leaner (like 11.5) but it is close to 90 ambient temperature in my world, and another rebuild is not something I am particularly looking for in the near future.

Static, what's your ignition curve looks like? Can you post a pic of your Int-X ignition screens? How much advance do you run at 6K and 4 psi, versus 6K and 10psi?

Suspense is killin' me, lol. Since you said you're running conservative and stock parts still I lower my guess to around 340-350.

First of all; This is not a prediction!!!!!

The design goals are as follow:

"300+whp (350@crank) @ 8-9psi out of the box, 340whp (400hp@crank) by raising boost to 12-13psi and tunning without adding or changing any components. 400+whp(470@crank)@16-17psi by adding our upgraded Turbo housing and making the necesarry ignition upgrades"

Straight from our site.

This assumes a decent tune, average temps, average humidity and the ability to do a full run on the dyno without the APV closing in or the stock ECU closing the throttle.

From this everyone can get an idea of where Static's car should be

I ran 286.2 hp @ 7250, and 227.7 tq @ 5500, before the ignition crapped out on me.

AFRs per the shop were 10.2, boost was 9 psi.

As rich as it was today the ignition started crapping out at 7200 and fell completely on its face(audible backfire) by 7700 .

Overall, I'm very pleased with the baseline.

Easily 30-40 more horses in there.

congrats!

with those numbers if you can pull all the way to redline you should be in the 330ish whp range... get some ignition parts in there

will be interesting to see what further tuning can accomplish, as well

Great for the tune you currently have

I suspect that at the same 9psi, with 11.2-11.5afr across the board and regapped sparkplugs you should be hitting the low to mid 300whp which is the out of the box design whp range.. You might get a bigger increase from the tunning and the fact that you will be able to rev it out higher up in the range. 227tq is good for 320-330whp on our cars if the ignition doesn't give up so it might be even higher when you tune the car some more.

Call me if you need me to describe the regapping technique(if you haven't done it)

Agreed! You could hear the misfires starting at just around 7200 RPM & then once he hit 7900-8000 it just dropped flat on it's face. I think the farthest up the RPM range it made was just about 8050. Once he gets the tune straight & gets those coils in I think he'll be good for 320whp!

Hmm, what I don't understand is why he is failing to rev through with more than 10:1 AF (while under 10PSI).
I can do a pull all the way on the stock coils, and at 10 and up. Any lower than 10:1, and it boggs down, but what is the point running that rich?

Static, are your plugs with factory gaps?

It all depends on the condition of the stock coils you currently have. If they were about to give up then lowering the afr's to 10:1 would push them over the edge and once they start misfiring they can only get worse.

It was the shop's call to start it there. The more I have been thinking about it, the more I come to notice something. On the dyno my temps got up to 230. I have my INTX enrichment set super high as temps go up, as I would rather have it misfire from being super double whammy rich than detonate. We only had one medium sized fan pointing on the car when it was on the dyno, it wasn't really blowing too hard either. I wonder if I had another on the oil cooler or a bigger fan in general if it would have stayed cooler and thus leaner. Next time for sure.

Not a final version yet. I've got version 3 coming in a few weeks.

v3 should fit all turbo kits and be easier to install in general.
