You need to do more homework. You won't find anyone happy with the Esmeril or the Turdblown. I cannot think of one successful Esmeril install or Turdblown install that was not without remaking many parts. I have two close friends with kits from Turdblown and both required at leat another $1,000.00 in fabrication costs to fix **** ups with the kits.

Both Turdblown and Esmeril like to make great claims and post pictures of well fabricated parts online though.

Yeah this is my worry, there seems to be around 4-5 big ones, Greddy, Esmeril, Turblown, SFR (very pricey when you add in the extras)... and eBay ***** lmfao... and none of them that I've seen in hours of reviews work without fault or a pain in the ***...

Any turbo build will be expensive unless it's done half assed. Of those listed the Greddy and the SFR are the only viable options. The Esmeril is terrible kit, even from a design standpoint. And one of my buddies waited a year for his Top mount Turblown kit and the manifold cracked a year later. And my other buddy waited 7-8 months to get his low mount Turblown kit with a broken wastegate and that clusterfuck of an engine mount pictured above.

Oh and Esmeril ships their kit with knock off parts so you are not even getting what you are paying for.

Yeah, kinda does make me wonder whether to bother, love this RX8 more than most cars... but to spend around Ł7k GBP sorting it when I can put that towards a TVR Cerbera... does kinda make you think sod it if there's not one manufacturer that is reliable... I don't mind spending that kind of cash if it's spot on stuff, well built and reliable... blimey... it's a serious head ****. Been waiting for the past year to see if there's advances, and it doesn't look like there is or going to be.

I almost clicked on the Esmeril one to buy the other night... then read a bit more, bit more... then things had gone quiet on here with them... still tempted but it's serious money... and out of them, I could do with pointing in the right direction...

EDIT: Cheers for the heads up and info btw. Much appreciated...

Impulse buying and turbo kits are a bad idea

Have a word to Flameshades if you are in UK . His system was going great till his turbo died recently . Just a greddy kit with all the right upgrades . I've tuned numerous greddy systems like his and they all have great results and owners are more than happy with the performance .

I like the guy.....LOL He has never been anything but upfront and honest with me

He makes quality stuff and is trying to make a go of working on the RX8 Platform

A lot of bad crap happened in 2008 when the economy tanked...and Mazsport went out of business.........but at some point the haters need to back off and let new things speak for themselves...as far as I know he has been doing well lately...

And did I say....he does make nice stuff ;-)

I would have bought his manifold downpipe and turbo, but he refused to sell as a partial kit. I'm glad to hear you like him. I didn't realize it was that long ago that he had trouble.

I know of a guy that bought the RX8 perormance kit in UK . All sorts of fitment problems caused mainly by the steering column on the RHD version. As far as I know it's been over 18months and the thing is still not going .

His problems are far from in the past, my buddy recently waited 6+ months for his rotary canisters and got one bull **** excuse after the other as to why it was taking so long and there have been a few other unhappy customers as of recently too so while he has not out right stolen peoples stuff again, he is still full of it and it's only a matter of time before it happens again. He is quick to take that payment though, just like Turdblown.

ROFL, the correct side my friend.

By the way, can I clarify, are we saying Esmeril were selling stolen stuff OR just crap quality stuff rebadged?

Esmeril - low quality components
Other guy - never shipped many items and sold parts off a customers car he was working on
