I actually built this stuff quite a long time before we had the car in our possession, and accordingly to everyone I spoke to( mostly other shop owners) it made zero difference. Keep in mind I don't read everything on the forum . If I had time for that we wouldn't be in business...
Regardless the design has been changed, and if there wasn't a 20B on the way to our place for this car, it would be changed on his setup....

I like where this is going!

Will you make room for OMP as well, or will the kit still be dependent on premixing?

Yes the car is running. Steve Kahn tried to tune it, and it appears the front o2 sensor burned up and he suspected issues with the TB. Car was dumping fuel up top..
Not sure exactly I wasn't there. I did hear Jamaal thought the car was fast @ 9/10 psi not tuned.. Not sure if its just been such a long time since hes been in a fast car or the engine/port work made a big difference...

Well while this thread is on a break....I have a question for the tuner MazdaManiac. You seem pretty sure that when the car wouldve dynoed, it probably wouldnt have gotten to 500whp. What do you suspect would've happened with the higher pressure rating? Torque increase?? After going over what youve said in the past about other setups with turbos/efficiency, I suspect he wouldve made about 475 whp / 380 lb/tq.... since the thread needs a bump I just thought I would ask...

Simply turning up the boost would have pumped up the torque, but the HP probably would have stayed the same as the turbo efficiency dropped off.

Holy crap..
its been awhile since i've been on here. Car is running. there are some minor issues (likes to stall out on decel, irrgardless of boost, rpm), some oil leak issues that were suPPOSED to have been fixed by the last shop in colorado. 02 sensor may have been fried from being to close to the exhaust, so its running stupid rich. Im going to use this week to do some troubleshooting. Nick has been very good about working through the issue with me, and Elliot has even payed for him to come out to fix issues. Despite that, its pretty quick, sitting at about 300 to the wheels on a mustang dyno. Steve Kan and i spent the better part of two days trying to tune it, and it was only on my way back (6 hour drive) that i figured out the water/meth system was still hooked up, causing it to run stupid rich up top. The jets are also probably too large. Boost controller has been installed, but im still only running 10psi of boost until we work out those issues. Hopefully we'll be putting down some good numbers in the very near future.

Guys Steve's Dyno reads 10% low compared to what you are used to seeing. I have had several cars on it. You have to remember numbers are just numbers and numbers don't win races.
Obviously their needs to be a little work done, but when you are pushing things that are more in the unexplored area there are set backs that take time.
To everyone involved, keep up the good work.

Old D! im in you're neck of the woods right now visiting my sister in GA... let me know in the very near future if you want to meet up! Im supposed to be seeing my tuner tomorrow as i'm still working through these issues...Hoss, i dont know what sized jet is in right now for the water meth. Arent you supposed to be down here?
Anyhow, ecu's throwing a bunch of codes, car is acting up big time, but the one code that keeps coming up is the 0035 (crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction). Took out the ess, cleaned it, put it back in, same code. 20 Brake stomp to reset...same code.
Steve definitely noticed something was jacked up as whatever he tried to seemed to be counteracted by the system... he would lean it out and it would still run rich. We thought we disconnected it, but we didn't...was probably the pressure sensor for the boost a pump.
O2 sensor i bought has a harness that is far too short so i have to reorder...hopefully will solve the stalling problem but im sure there are more issues to be hammered out.
What i am considering in the very near future is grabbing a haltech ps2000.

Yeah, I was suppose to have been down there a long time ago... grrr. If you are at Dennys give my R3 a pat and say hello!
Man I hate that you have all these issues. You have a turbo set up most of us can only dream of. Please Please get your issues worked out in the near future.

Had the pleasure of meeting Denny and Charlie yesterday...both very personable and knowledgeable fellas. Think im going to go with a Haltec to take care of alot of these issues. This engine is capable of so much more...Will definitely be consulting with Charlie, Steve, Denny and Nick to plan my next move. Stay tuned...

Hey Jammaal !!
I never knew this was an Anniversary edition car--beautiful model and nice set up.
I am really glad you were able to come by. Dont worry --every set up has bugs to get worked out.
It was kind of trick the way they did that clip on the apv gear--sweet. Really like the design of your intercooler too--you could tell it had very good flow.
Man--you have my admiration--i could NEVER keep track of all the controls you have to deal with!
That vacuum level we talked bout right before I left--its good for youre ported engine--dont worry about it.
Really, really hope you can visit us at Road Atlanta this coming w/e--i guarantee you will have a good time.
Guys for those of you that havent had a chance to met this man--he is smooth and cool--cant help but like a guy like this--almost like an old friend after the 1st 30 minutes.
The Ga StaTE Patrol was out in force yesterday--you got through ok didnt ya?

im not sure about horsepower but as far as torque you saw chickenwafer made 325 lb/ft on a 3071r once it got past max eff range. Its possible it could reach 380 if the intake manifold could properly handle the airflow. Oh... and go back through this thread, there are way more outrageous predictions and speculations. And for the record, both of us are full of **** cuz neither me or you can prove our beliefs or statements. thank & goodnight.
