Synapse is best, period.

They do make a recirc fitting for the old and the new style. The greddy type r is a piece of ****, you will never get it to not cause stall.

I've had/used the Type RS, Type R, Type S, HKS, TIAL and then the Synapse. I'm done shopping for BOV's after that...Synapse hands down.

Also, no go on the MBC, I really really really dont recommend it.

You got my number, call anytime.

Thanks Kane! All this damn terminology is confusing. So what I really need is a diverter valve, not a BOV.

Yes, the diverter valve is more meant for recirculation to begin with

Yeah I think I found the right one. It's meant to replace a Greddy.

Yeah the sound I'm hearing probably isn't best described as a fluttering.... The best description of it I could really say is that is sounds like a rattle snake. Like I said before it rarely happens at any boost above 0psi and when it does it is for less than a second (I always though compressor surge to be more of a harsh sound than what I'm hearing), really what I need to do is see if I can replicate the senario while parked and feel if the BOV is opening or mount a camera under the hood while I'm driving somehow... but I think/thought that the "rattle Snake" sound was the smaller portion of the valve releasing the pressure. Any blowoff with positive psi IS a disitinctive pssshhhh with no fluttering...

Looking at this pic is it possible that when the smaller inside valve opens the air passing though it is causing the inside edges of the orifice created in the larger diaphram to vibrate/flutter causing the sound we are hearing at miniscule boost pressures?

I would have to agree with you. I never hear the sound when I have any boost, granted I am tuning right now so the most boost I ever see is typically somewhere between 0 and 1PSI

Not yet, I'm waiting for the money for selling my kidney to get here and then I'll order it I will get the timer and gauges finished up this weekend but I think your wiring will work out great. I went to Altex and found some great wire connectors that you just push the wire into and then clamp with pliers. Once you clamp them a glue of some sort is released to seal up the connection. They worked great at extending the small wires of the Prosport daisy chain harness. They also had some really nice four wire bundled wire that worked perfect and it was only .12 a foot. I can't believe I didn't think to go there before. I want to take teh PLX harness there and try to find a suitable bundle wire to lengthen your PLX wire.

lol Yeah I love that place and use to go there a few times a week for my job before I did a big install or project. I also went there when looking for a cable for the plx gauge. they have none that are suitable but many that will fit. I will have to custom order the cable.

Both the synapse BOV and DV would work great with our set-ups. You can save a few dollhairs if you get the BOV

I'll just suck it up and get the DV. I might as well just do it right.

Also I could not find any data on the superiority of a recirc bov to a DV.

If anyone has this info please link me!

Hmmm. Confusing indeed but I think the DV goes more with wanting to make my car a sleeper. But what's the difference between a recirculated BOV and a DV?

The BOV has a Diaphragm, that can potentially fail.
