The only way it will be meaningful for you is if you take g/s logs at the dyno (or shortly after) and base your hp estimates on that comparison .

I was hoping 400g/s would be at least 300whp haha... then again I have yet to get back up on the dyno after fixing my massive vacuum leak.

Sorry brohams, just got the radiator and fan shroud yesterday (see thread on that), I'm gonna get crackin' on some things this weekend. I got the DEI tubing wrap and cool tape as well. I decided to get some of the tubing coated as well so gotta drop that stuff off too. It will delay things a bit but I wanna do it right.

Excellent! So I think I found a cheap solution for 2.5" aluminum piping. CS racing the same place I got my intercooler from Has pre cut intercooler kits for $90 or so. They are made with 2 mm 2.5" piping and come with t bolt clamps as well as couplers, I'll just trash the couplers and cut up the pipes and get my whole system on 2.5". IMO much better than buying multiple $30 u-bent pipe's

Also I'm toying with the idea of getting the pipes powder coated when I get my wheels done and have them match. should be a dark non metallic gunmetal. My build is much farther off than both of yours due to my HP requirements but I'm on my way...

looking good! Let me know the date and time you are expecting to head to the coating shop. I told them I would give them a heads up.

Exactly. Although of course there are things I would do differently if money was not an issue. But I think we will both have pretty decent setups.

Are you welding yourself? Coating is a good idea, Hoss-05 found a good place locally that does heat resistant coatings on turbo stuff for Corky Bell and some other local professionals.

Yeah, the stock rad is good to go for the most part if everything else in the system is working okay but in Texas, I need all the help I can get. Besides, I didn't come out of pocket for the rad, etc. so in exchange I will do a well documented install and gather a ton of data. But the Mizu products sure as hell look well made and well engineered. I am excited to see the data stock vs. boosted.

I will keep an eye on your data logs as well. If you see improvements then I will work a rad into my future. Tampa is like an oven too

No welding required, I just need to find the kit that has the proper amount of bends. first I need to figure out how I want to mount my intercooler, I like the way gregg's has his but not sure if it will get proper airflow. once that's done I need to see how its going to be routed then get my measurements and order the kit.

At the end of the build the only thing left greddy will be the manifold which will eventually be replaced by a custom one after it breaks.

As far as the coating goes it will be a powder coat so mostly for looks, hoping they wont charge me to much more to just do my pipes with my wheels.

I found a shop up here that does high temp ceramic coating got quoted for $150 for both pieces. after some readings it seems getting the manifold coated is good however the down pipe should be left alone. I'm to busy to find the threads with the info on that. it's something along the lines of you want the heat trapped pre-turbo bla bla.

There's so much back and forth I kind of just want to try my own thing and see how it works out.

As I've said before no one was born with all the figures and flowcharts pre programmed in there head. There's not a soul with all the answers just a handful of people who "think" they know whats going on. We've only gotten this far by trial and error and we aren't even close to unlocking the full potential of this car.

The stock Greddy location is the best imo so long as your IC is sized right to take advantage of the flow without blocking the rad.

Yeah I am still debating on how to mount all my stuff. I coul move my oil cooler back and have the IC mounted right in front of my oil cooler but I am not sure what would happen to IAT's and oil temps as a result. I really love my oil cooler and don't want to move or ditch it.

Just test fit the intercooler and ride around for a few weeks with it mounted in front of the oil cooler. Granted the intercooler will be allot warmer with charge going through it but at least you can get some sort of idea how it will effect temps.

as lame as that sounds... its what I did to test airflow on the rad
