Hi everyone.

My name is Marko and I am the one responsible for this swap. I am located in Langley British Columbia, Canada. Forcefed Racing is located 2 hours north of Seattle, Washington.

I am a rotor builder/ tuner. I have been doing this for 15 years. And I have been looking for this challenge. There are many questions here that I can answer and I will try to answer all of them.

Before this swap I have only tuned one boosted rx8 and he is a member of this site. I have found that applying backpressure to the rx8 exhaust ports, caused alot of heat buildup. This is the major cause of boosted Renisis failure. To make any long term, high hp reliability, you should consider a earlier style engine.

The engine is mounted in the front, this is why I used the series 1-3 front cover. We fabricated a custom bracket and solid mounted to the front x member.

The series 4-5 CAS is used because it is far more reliable than the series 6(third gen) one. I have found that in high boost and rpm situations the third gen pickups can be a problem. And the adjustability for timing is what you want. Remember this is a stationary gear driven unit(CAS).

The management is originally a Interceptor X . I have transplanted a microtech lt10(eries 4-5) in place of the original one. Factory harness was used. Modification needed to be made to the wiring because you were only using 4 injecters vs 6.

Coils used were the Esmirel upgrade ones which I wired to the triggers out of the lt10 Microtech.

The OMP was not used. Premix is a must.

Electric TB was used and is funcional. Only thing is that it takes time to close. This does not allow the decel funcion to activate. I wil sort it all out.

I hope this has answered most of the questions.. I have been waiting for my account to be activated.

Regards,

Marko Stilinovic

dude you are going to get a lot of questions

sounds like a good job man.
rx8 fuel delivery system?--if so be cautious--we do have fuel starvation issues at times. Since you have gone this far you really need a surge tank and external filter.
Pretty sure you converted to return type?
Follow th Pettit thread for cooling issues/fixes due to the oem positioning of the radiator etc--may not get hot enough up there?!

Thanks.

The fuel system is converted. Cooling will be looked at closer to summer. It is not an issue right now.LOL

Alot of the old turbo equipment was used such as intercooler, turbo, and some piping. The set up could of been a bit less cluttered. But the customer was on a budget.

The same turbo was used, but 60 more whp was made,@9psi, with the rew engine. The swap made the car a totaly different ride.

Factory Rx-8 gearbox is being used.

Yes DCS/TCS does work.

all in all, well thought out and that was what struck my curiosity. the CAS by itself was not all that much of a flag, because i share your view on it being better than the REW and Renesis ignition pickups, but when the owner specifically mentioned the 12A front cover, i thought "uh-oh ... something way interesting going on here."

well done, man. you deserve much praise for your work. the wiring alone must have been nightmare-ish.

Just buy some Injectors from mazdaparts.com. That should do the trick.

You siad you converted the fuel system, what exactly did you convert it to. I understand that it now needs to be a return system but what are you using for the fuel pump?

Hmmmm, how about a price range? This setup seems ideal but i guess we will see how it is reliability wise.

haha that question has been asked time and time again, and still no answer. if that dyno is accurate this seems to be the best possible swap, if the price is decent. but im gonna guess its in the 15k range, with the custom bracket work, and custom wiring

The cost of the swap is greatly going to depend on the parts you go with. A single turbo REW motor can be $15k alone with all the parts included.
