How would you say the color of the flat kit is compared to the rest of the dash? I can't really tell from your pict.

It's a shade lighter than the dash. Honestly unless you're really looking at it up close, you really can't tell the difference. What gives it away is actually the surface finish, since it doesn't have the same 'miniature pebbles' texture like the rest of the interior, but rather a fairly smooth finish.

Sweet. I just order a DDX-812 as I already have the Kenwood nav system. Probably get it all in a couple of weeks.

Cool! I mounted the mic for the bluetooth behind the tiny vent behind the keys when the keys are in the ignition.

Mine is up top on the windshield where the wiring for the rearview mirror is (I had bluetooth on my last Kenwood).

Oh that's a nice place.. I just didn't want to go through the hassle of wiring it up to the roof.

It will not because you have an automatic air conditioning system. North american cars only have manual air conditioning controls. Our radio controls the air conditioning so there is a replacement interface for it that comes with the kit. The replacement interface will not work with automatic climate control systems.

I just explained why. Your automatic A/C is controlled by your radio. The metra kit's interface is made for manual controlled A/C thus it will not work with your automatic A/C dials/buttons/etc.

What is a loom by the way? Do you mean wire? It may seem like a seperate wire but it actually is connected to the radio's front circuit board.

loom, wiring loom, as in the adapters that plug in and out of the headunit when you remove it. there must be a kit that works for uk cars ive seen the headunits in before.

The kit that works for the auto controls is the Corksport kit.

Yes like DeViLbOi says, you need the Corksport kit.. It is made by Kanatech and probably another importer carries it in the UK.

god damn bose

Well this sucks for a first post.... I have an 05, 6mt with the bose system. My metra single DIN was delivered today and install went well, until i turned on my head unit (blaunpunk orlando cd72). Everything is working perfectly except i am not getting any sound from my speakers . My sub is bumping so i know that my unit is producing a signal. Is there anything specific that i need to do for the bose speakers to work. By looking at everyone elses posts it doesnt look like i need an adaptor. Thanks!

From what I've herd no you don't need anything else. Double-check your connections and your headunit. Make sure you have the remote amp turn on connected.

Ensure two speaker wires are not touching each other. This will kick the amp internal to the headunit into protection. The headunit will look like it's operating properly, but no sound out. I think RCAs may be separate from this. That could be why your subs are playing and speakers are not.
