They said "soon" so I guess just keep checking back. Sorry I don't have more info.

Aipex - Do you still think these are brighter than the V-Star? Also, will these work for the rear tail light turn signals? (the 7443/7440 you just installed for the brakes)

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the V-STAR in person, so I can't say for sure which is brighter. These are brighter than stock though, so that's a good thing.

These should work fine as turn signals also. I'm curious as to how that would look actually, maybe I'll go down and try it out and take a few pics in a bit.

It's been almost a month and I have not recieved my Order. They have taken my 100 dollars and I have recieved nothing.

If I dont recieve my order this week I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

While I don't blame you one bit, have you tried to contact them at all? I know myself along with numerous others have had nothing but a great experience buying from them.

Before you get all bent out of shape, maybe they're waiting on something you ordered to come back in stock. Granted, they should have contacted you, but there might be a legitimate explanation. Just a thought...

NYC Drift King, I'll shoot them an email and see if I can get an answer for you.

Here are pics of the red LED used as the turn signal. They are pretty bright, but not quite as bright as an amber incandescant bulb. I think the amber LED would probably be as bright as the incandescant though.

Thanks for taking the time to get an example of how it would look. Not too bad. I'm running the stealth bulbs from autolumination.com in my turn signals and they weren't that bright. I think the red goes well with the stock LED strake and stock red corners/reflector. Just placed my orders. I wish they had the ambers for the front and H11 LEDs in stock!

Aipex - Come to think of it, do you think the red LED as the turn signal is not fully "triggered", meaning it's only activating partial as if it's the brake light's parking intensity? Does that make sense? Not knowing anything about electrical, but I would think the brake intensity should be the same as the turn when triggered, with the same bulb.

Good question, but I don't think that's possible. If you look at the picture below, you see a 7443 bulb. Notice the thick filiment (the bright/brake light) leads go to the outter contacts at the base of the bulb. The thin filiment goes to the inner leads. The 7440 socket only has the outer contacts, so the inner, dim leads don't touch anything but plastic. The LED bulb should work exactly the same, but I'll double check when I get home tonight.

So... 7443 hi power amber led like this > http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...34404-1-2.html
should work fine in 7440 socket or it wont be as bright as it should be?
(only 7443 are in stock @ v-leds atm)

7443s are interchangeable with 7440, so they'll work fine.

Aipex8,

Are you using any LED protector (sold on autolumination) on your parking and corner marker LEDs? I've ordered and received all the V-LEDs for the brake/taillights, front parking and corner markers. I plan on putting them on this weekend, but I'll probably have to wait longer if I need the LED protectors.

Thanks.

No, not only do you not need them (V-LEDS newer bulbs should handle between 9V - 24V), but even if you tried using them the bulbs would not be able to light fully. Those will only work with very small, weak LEDs. You can make your own protectors using different resistors, and I've documented that elsewhere in this thread, but you shouldn't need them with the bulbs that V-LEDS currently sells.

Cool!!

I've read this thread many times, but I probably missed it.

Another question, if you don't mind (it may have already been discussed somewhere in this thread, I bet). What do you recommend for front/rear blinker and reverse LEDs?

Thanks again. And oh, thanks for the link for the discount, too!

Turn Signals:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...51396-1-2.html
or
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...34404-1-2.html

Reverse:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...02215-1-2.html

Those are kind of spendy, but if you want them to be as bright (or brighter) than stock, those are the ones you want. Any of the 7443/7440 bulbs will work though (except the giant V-STAR fold out ones) but the less expensive ones won't be quite as bright.

Those are nice, but the prices are kind of steep, too. I'm not getting them all at once now, but I'm definitely gonna get 'em all. (I can waste way more money on or other useless things; I don't know why I find it hard to spend some money on these LEDs...) I'm hooked on these V-LEDs now, though.

Thanks again.

I'll get some pictures of mine when I have 'em installed.

Aipex,

First off, you've been a tremendous help to all of our LED/lighting newbie-ness! Thanks!

Regarding the amber turn signal bulbs you cited up there, do you know if these are essentially the same bulbs as the red 7W-20 LED brake bulbs you've just installed, but in amber? Or are these specially made for turn signal application and therefore will be brighter?

Thanks again!

They are the same bulb. They both use .5W LEDs just different colors. The same spec LED in different colors can produce different brightness though. I can't say for sure which will be brighter. I'll probably get some, but it will be a few weeks.

MI Can you Clari y and is there a sticky on this, too Q & A too search through

I have read through the whole thred again and now I am more confused you say you have these for your Parking lights:

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...82924-1-2.html

You have also recomended these 1:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...68710-1-2.html

and these 2:
http://v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Corne...81133-1-2.html

So which are brighter yours or alt choice 1 or 2 for parking light. you made multiple recomendations throughout the thread. I seem two doesn't have as many Lumens:
yours are 80 the 1st alterative is 60 and the 2nd was 15.8 (doesn't seem like enough). Although may be good for license and trunck?

Also for the side makers you showed
these at 80 lunins:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...91894-1-2.html

But what about these, Do you think they will fit? They are less but New and they aren't showing a luninosity though:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...91894-1-2.html

I want to order all these today if possible! Do you know the number for the dome lights and doors by any chance?

From the very first post, these are the best and brightest that V-LEDS sells, these are what I recomend for the parking lights, the corner markers, fogs and tail lights. These are all in stock right now! Get 'em while they're hot!

Other bulbs I may have linked to in the course of this thread were for the following reasons:

A) V-LEDS was out of stock of the ones that I'm using.

B) People wanted a cheaper option.

If you want the brightest get my original recomendation.

The doors and map lights use 194 size bulbs. The dome light is size DE3175.
