Noob question:
My base Cobb map lists Fan 1-A and Fan 1-B with a coolant temp of 97 and Fan 2-ECT 101, why would I want to increase them to: "Fan 1A - 190 , Fan 1B - 204, Fan 2 ECT – 210"

The Accesstuner Race help guide states the following:
Fan 1 – A
Table description – Engine coolant temperature must exceed this value before the Fan 1 – A is turned on.

Fan 1 – A Hysteresis
Table description – The amount of coolant temperature reduction (from the Fan 1 – A value) the ECU must see before it turns off Fan 1 – A, after it has been turned on by the ECU.

Looks like you are mixing up C and F temp values??

Thanks, that makes sense.
It took me a minute to locate the "show standard units" check box.

So I have a question. I've been running a version of the tune I did in one of the webinars way back with minimal changes. I had a new engine so I re-scaled the MAF and injectors once I got it back and called it a day. It's been running for nearly 18 months now with no problems.

I get very bad mileage and always have(260km/160mi per tank all city, and my commute barely warms the car up). So I did a bunch of the normal stuff everyone seems to do. Seafoam, throttle and MAF clean, new plugs, and finally a fuel injector cleaner.

I'm through the tank with the cleaner and finally on to the next one, and my car is having trouble at idle. At 3/4 throttle or maintaining a speed that's around the 4200-5000RPM range it stumbles. I hooked up the Cobb and checked the STFTs. Sure enough I'm running averages of -22 for STFT. I'm currently in the process of re-scaling the injectors and it seems to be helping, but I can't help but feel a little leery.

My question is this, has anyone had to re-tune after an injector cleaner? Should I be looking for new injectors? Am I in for terrible news in the future?

-21 STFT is removing a ton of fuel but more importantly ......what's LTFT ? If you hadn't run it for over a year I'd be telling you it's the old injector wiring switcheroo trick ..... then again the bad fuel consumption ..... check your injector wiring anyway !!!!

LTFT was around 2 to 5, well within what my notes say is acceptable for a FT. I remember it being small but positive. What's there to check on the injector wiring? Got a link to a DIY post?

The car is a DD, so it gets driven. When I get a chance to get onto the highway it's fine mileage wise. Perhaps a little low, but my commute in the morning is less than 5km, so I have to sit for it to warm up so that definitely contributes to the bad mileage.

If LTFT (after several drive cycles) was up around -20 i would say it's the injector wiring - doesn't sound like that's the case .

Well, I probably won't have a LTFT for at least another day, I'm going to re-scale everything and test a little bit which means resetting the LTFTs a bunch. The scaling seems to have helped so far. Trims have come down to +/-3, and the stuttering has gone away.

Overall I've scaled my bank 1 injectors up to 415 with the Cobb. It's around 1.125 times the stock value. That seems like a considerable amount to me, but I'm a novice. I only scaled the Bank 2 injectors up by 1.03, as they were within 5-8% of target values. Haven't had a chance to get some logs for the change yet, but I'll do that tomorrow morning.

I never scale the oem injectors ! And I generally only scale the maf if there is an aftermarket intake. Doing so is only hiding an issue ...IMO.

If i were you i would put the settings back to stock so you can trace what the actual fault is .

I'll give it a shot, but I'm going to send you a PM with some questions. I don't want to mislead anyone about methods in here.

Hmmmmm.... this reminds me that this last summer at an autocross day I suffered the S1 left hand turn fuel starvation. But on 3/4 tank.

Thanks for reminding me.

So, I'm an idiot... The wife sent me a picture of some sort of spill in the garage under my car. I got underneath to inspect and I couldn't trace it to anywhere. It was all the way at the front of my undertray by the drivers side front tire. Oil cooler and lines were all fine, brake fluid was good. The reading on the dipstick was well within the normal range, perhaps down, but not WAY down. So while I was under, I checked the spark plug wires. Lo and behold, I pulled of the R2 Leading and the plug isn't even finger tight. Slight dribble of oil coming out the hole. I must have just snugged it up and forgotten to tighten it down. Thus, I am an idiot. I've returned to my previous tune and am currently logging to see if that was the source of my issue.

Doesn't sound like something that would cause that issue to me - keep looking

Really? Even if it was like, 2 rotations from being fully un-threaded from the hole? We're talking dangerously loose.

Like I said, I'm an idiot. I think the spill was somehow related, there was a dribble of oil coming out of the plug hole with the plug still in it. I just can't figure out how it pooled so far forward. The undertray doesn't even run under the plugs, so I can't figure out how it made it's way there. But I also can't find any other wet spots on the engine.

Yeah, think google deleted them when I hit my google drive limit. I'm not sure. But I thought someone else had saved them and had them available.
