Well that would be a huge feature, I hope someone can verify it works. The flash limit was removed right?

Can you LOG IAT and BARIO voltage? if so that is two things you could use for 0-5V logs without having to add the one to the openport.

Did some logs last night and hit 5V max maf voltage . And no - nothing sinister happened - AFRs still in check . The only anomaly being that the g/s reported was slightly less than what was actually on the maf table (410 vs 413)

The scale at the bottom isn't rpm ..... it's time so it hit 5V at 7897 . See the column on RHS .

Shell, you ever find out what the differences are between the 3 tables? I disabled DTC's in both 1 and 2, but have no idea what the OPT one is.

This is conjecture, but I suspect it has to do with setting the bits of the DTC severity record.

So, I think that each array in the ecu controls whether or not each of those bits can be set for a given DTC.

One table controls whether or not a DTC can be set.

One table controls whether or not a DTC can be set pending.

One table controls whether or not the warning light is turned on when a given DTC is set.

oh very interesting.

One thing i noticed is that while mazdaedit doesn't show my DTC's, if I do a scan in torque, it lists the DTC's that I masked as "Gray" faults. So there is no CEL, and they technically arent Pending, but Torque was still somehow able to see them.

(dont mind the first two faults)

So I just grabbed version 2.2.5.815 from the usual download place. Also got a new definitions file with today's date on it. No idea really what has changed but poking around a bit there is a new icon for the obd2 logger.

Don't know if it has been discussed in detail I've been reading this thread on and off, Yesterday I successfully reflashed an S2 rx-8, removed speed limit, increased RPM limit, controlled fans, waiting to do ign coils swap to work with dwell settings, car runs a lot better, need some dyno time. Great piece of software (pro version).

I also have done a couple of mazda 2, one mazda 3 1.6 liter auto, and a bunch of Gen1 rx-8 even auto 4 port, one 4port I managed to extract 20WHP on a dynojet just with ign coils, and cat delete and improved dwell settings. I have to work with the logging features more.

Excellent - will be good to get more input on the S2 s .

In regard to increasing rev limit ...... Not really advisable on a stock block.

I agree!,
but its well under 10k, 10k is a nice looking number, people love to brag about it, but we all know its not necessary. I bumped it slightly. I would hate to be the one to rebuild that engine due to premature failure. I do trust a lot more the S2 block than the S1 models, they have a lot better OM system, specially the 3 nozzle design and the S1 engines I have rebuild all of them show wear in the middle section of the rotor housings.

S2 flash is pretty straight forward, 1meg file and the only map workable from the stock definitions I believe is within the JDM models in the list, but its actually a USDM model (the one I worked on is a 2010 USDM).

I've already changed fan on temps, omp rate, scaled maf and 2ndary injectors. Waiting till after the holiday weekend before I start tweaking the VE table now that scaling is close to par.

hey blu3.... usual download place? Is this to say that waiting for epifan to push out a new update OTA like via Check for updates is futile?

Hook a brotha up

oltmann nailed the DTC tables... he's just too humble to come right out and say it

I've noticed that too. I just update the app every week just to make sure. version number isn't baked into the install file so no easy way to check. doesn't look like the in app updater works

It worked for me once... about two weeks after I bought it... haven't gotten a push since and it's been quite some time.

status bar says I'm at 2.0.2.755

Wouldn't it be much cheaper to ship the engine to the car, not the car to the engine

Where are you nowadays? Japan?

Could someone post a Latency table screenshot? I'm wondering if they have the same scale and readings as the cobb.
