Dude i have no clue lol. i want the Rpf1's brice is sellin but theyre not stx legal. unless i just go for STU. hows the competition in STU? and the reason im trying to stay in STX class is cause i dont have experience. what do you think?

^Go with the 17x9 rpf1's. They are only 15.9lbs, cant get them in black but they do come in gold! Let me know if you are interested.
And the competition here in STU is pretty good, i'm switching to some stance coilovers and a OEM rear sway because I'm having too much oversteer, but i'll keep that discussion out of this thread

It's easily detected. All you have to do is squeeze on the shifter boot during the impound process. Probably won't matter on a local level, but people are very competitive on the National level. Rules is rules.

just got it installed and it feels fantastic!
Quick question to all the people who have it.. The rubber thing that goes on the very bottom doesn't fit when you have the synchro saver in and it makes the cabin noise triple.. anyone try reshaping it to put it back in?

Power!!
Screw the synchro saver in on top of the rubber boot instead of underneath. Problem solved.

Can anyone provide any 3rd party confirmation on this "over shifting issue"?
In my mind this would be a simple casting issue for a manufacture to resolve if it was a major issue. The fact that Mazda has done a pretty good job at developing this car and saw fit not to put this device on makes me question the value of it.
I'm not trying to **** on this device I just want confirmation of the problem from a natural source. This should be easy to provide if the problem really exists.

This would definitely be one of the mods up there with the AFE short shifter, it is one of those mods that you do for reassurance, shifting I feel so more confident, it is not instant gratification but just knowing shifting perfection every time it just feels good.
Why do you think everyone that has bought this is confident and enjoys the product once installed....

over-forcing the shifter is a leading cause of failure on this transmission, it starts with bent shift forks and gets worse from there with grinding gears etc., this device places the load on itself rather than the fork/gear assembly once the gear is engaged

Not sure what you mean Dan? I kept the retaining ring in the same place under the rubber boot and just swapped the screws and screwed in the saver on top. can you elaborate on what you mean?
