RX-8 aftermarket exhausts SUMMARY
Does anyone have any information on the Trust MX exhaust? I found a few clips on youtube and it sounds ridiculously hot, but google doesn't turn up much.

Has anyone tried the 5-zigen Pro Racer exhausts for the RX-8? 5-zigen offers both the ZZ (full stainless) & the A-spec (stainless/semi titanium) for RX-8's. I'd really love to see either of these systems installed, or better yet, hear a clip.

Or perhaps the Odula systems?
RS Type:

Spec V:

Pricey pricey, but oozing with JDM flava!

Hi !!
I have a supersprint catback and I think I'll change it... I like the hks with those huge exhaust
But I want to have some feedbacks on rotary extrem's ? their catback is weird...

For the new exhaust here is the most info you can get.

This exhaust has a combined diamter of 4" catback pipe. It has two 2"pipes.
The whole reason for this set-up is to support the custom dual header and midpipe. That cat-back itself is more of a high rpm cat back. You dont lose any power down low.
It has a slight drone inside the car. It has the 4" ti tips but you can get it with any tips you can find. They will be added at time of assembly.
It is a very nice sounding exhaust but under partial and full throttle it is loud.
The cat-back is goo for turbo. The full exhaust will be good for N/A.
Just keep in mind the price is dictated by the amount of materials used, this exhaust uses more material so that is why it has the price it does.
I have plenty of videos on youtube with this exhaust on my car, unfortunately covered with high energy music...lol

I believe it if they replace the cat with a midpipe and offer the midpipe as part of their exhaust system.
But I have yet to see a cat-back that can add 10 to 12 whp all by itself.
It is easy to fudge a dyno run by running the car warmed up first, swap the exhaust then run the car bearly warmed up when the intake manni is still cool to the touch.
But still, the Exoticpeed R1-t exhuast is very very nice.

no exhaust is going to add 12 to the wheels without removing the cat and doing a Midpipe
sounds good, little too loud for my personal taste but many here like it.

so is the Mazdaspeed one really the saem as the stock with different tips? Videos don't sound like it but curious here. is there a difference in sound between the single and double can?

If there is some interest, I have recording gear and can make a good sound clip of my HKS Hi-Power that I installed this week. There are plenty of vids on YouTube of it, but video camera's in general don't capture sound very well. I'd do a comparison to stock, but it's getting rather cold here in Ohio and i don't feel like going through the effort to swap back and forth just for an audio clip.
I love the sound all the way through the rev range. It is nice and deep, but not booming like some others i have heard. It is on the louder side, but not terrible. As long as you can keep your right foot out of the radiator, it's only slightly noticeable at cruising speeds and doesn't really drone unless going uphill at low rpm.
