So which should we do?

So of all the things mentioned above, which would be best to do once the intake is installed?

Jim just replied and asked that NOBODY post the install instructions here! He said that overseas companies could use them to copy their design - and that would be BAD for all of us.

My lips are sealed - so nobody post these please. Mods, if you see anyone post them, please delete them ASAP.

I agree with Jim, and will not even ask that they get posted for any RB products in the future.
Already discussed. Sorry they did not pack them, I can only imagine the frustration.

Reset the ECU, though I have seen so many different methods of doing so that I am not sure what is the "difinitive" method for resetting it. I disconected the neg battery terminal, then tapped the brake a few times. Left the battery terminal disconected for about ten minutes before hooking it back up. Should that do it?

Anyway, it drives better after that, but still seems sluggish at low RPMs. What I mean by that, is that it seems like it was not as sluggish in low RPMs before I put on the new intake.

Called RB and spoke to one Jim, he is going to put me in touch with the other Jim a little later today.

So does anybody in NJ have this intake yet? I fear I may have to wait till summer to buy it as I'm a student and can't afford it at the moment, but I HAVE to see and hear this thing...

Aftermarket is the key term there indeed, otherwise we would have intakes like this one :D

Just got my shipping notice from RB, intake should be here Monday. I may have to knock off work early the day it gets here.

I will post some pictures from during the install once I am done.

Now I am really looking forward to this.

This might be a dumb question but regarding the post ECU resetting procedure, there's one part of the manual that I wasn't too sure about. It said to turn the steering wheel lock to lock so the steering sensor could be calibrated, but am I supposed to turn the wheels before I start the car or after? How can I turn the steering wheel with out power steering? It's so hard!

Seems like Racing Beat has you remove the bumper for several mods...

TheDosDog is correct = cover your headlights for this one.

Can you elaborate on this point. Do you mean to mask them off, as if you were going to paint the car?

Yes, mask them off. The back side of the fascia can scratch the lens.

Has anybody thought or done a mod to the RB box to cut out the top and replace with clear plastic? Similar to Superscout03's OEM box mod?

Saw the Racing Beat Intake today at Mazcare here in Marietta, Ga. This thing looks great. The owner, Charlie, will be fitting one to his car tonight. He ordered four but has three for sale. Can't wait to see and hear his tomorrow...
