I believe their website also said they are making sure that it meets emissions regulations. I'm sure that takes longer than if you weren't worrying about that.

GOD, things like this make me so glad tennessee doesn't give two ***** about emissions. it really helps out. i could just not run an exhaust at all and no one here would give a ****.

hell my first car was 1 '85 civic 325K miles, HUGE hole in the pipe just after the manifold, and it burned almost more oil than gas....

$100 should be more than enough. I've been ceramic coating a bunch of stuff and it really isn't very expensive. You just run into cost when one shop outsources it to a real shop that does the coating, so you end up paying twice for the job.

If you know anything about how the CARB works and the steps to getting a part approved you will understand why, short version is that it cost to much money.
However. Its not likely that you will ever run into a problem running a header because the cops wont even notice you have a header, its hard to see. If they do see it you just tell them that headers came stock just like some of the civic SI's or the old mustang 5.0's. If you have to get a smog check they usually only care if it passes emission, if they question it, just give them the same line.
