i think it speaks for itself

ECU/PCM Reprogramming - (Update 6/06) - Good news, Bad news. The good news is that we finally developed a flash for the RX-8 that offers improved power and performance! We have undertaken several successful test reflashes on 2004 RX-8's, but the bad news is that we are currently limited to only the 2004 model. We are currently researching this limitation and will post more information in the near future.

plus teh guage pod in a month or so and then th eheader shortly after that.

notice they don't give any clues as to power gains on ECU or the headers

This is great news.......how would you reflash you computer from racing beat? It should be much less expensive then an ECU upgrade.....HOw much HP gain?

Also Headers...???? I wonder how much HP they gained from them....

I just emailed RB asking for more info - specifically, if they're planning on a reflash for turbo application.

Damn. I'm suddenly very very happy to own my RX-8.

that is what i am fishing for. How cool would this be if it could be used with the AFSC, instead of Int-X

Crap, I cant wait !

It shouldnt cost that much to reflash. but what about the new flash from Mazda that suppose to "fix" problems? How can we get those fix? Does that mean we have to reflash the fuel map everytime we get a new update from Mazda ?

Sounds promising. Too bad there is no info about actual numbers. All in due time I suppose.

Well as long as we are wishing, I hope it would yield that power stock. And after bolt ons get to the 215-220whp range. Who knows, maybe they will suprise us. That would rock!

It doesn't matter. 95% of the problem was finding a way to reflash the car. Once that's done, it's a matter of them being willing to take the final 5% and give us what we want. Write them an email!

What I want is control over everything from idle, fans, fuel, ignition, shift points, tranny line pressure, etc. All packaged in a nice, neat user interface. Kind of like nearly every other vehicle on the road. RB is not giving us that. Yet. If ever.
