Wasn't there suppose to be a dyno chart for this? Didnt see any lol. 20hp? Maybe 2hp and thats unlikely too. Atleast it matches with all the car covers. Although i removed all mine because plastic= wtf gey lol.

There's more to it that just a filter here guys. There's at a minimum some kind of ecu tricking/reprogramming.
FWIW: Speedsource Racing has done literally hundreds of dyno runs on Renesis engines trying everything from various exhaust setups, headers, porting styles, and intakes. Their race cars that run 2 rotor Renesis engines still use the factory stock intake and paper element air filter and they manage to put down about 230 rwhp. Yes they do some very good tuning!
How an air filter or anything else for that matter compares to another product in terms of flow is irrelevant if they all meet the engine's requirements. A few years ago I had collected a few different RX-8 intakes and was going to flow test them and post the results. I decided not to since people would base their opinions solely on the highest number I'd post. The reality is that all of them flowed what the engine does at redline so there was no point.

Actually just go to Injen's website and take a look at their powerflow intakes. The description says what it all is. It's not a direct ecu calibration but rather fancy marketing on paper that leads to nice gains.
Here's one of their "secrets" to making good power. It's a velocity stack. Guess what? Even the STOCK RX-8 intake has a velocity stack! So does the Racing Beat system.

ok for the first question I believe they are releasing the first ones in the uk then I think I heard a couple of months for us. The velocity stack is one thing yes but when they had just that it still made minimal gains they then put on the " MR Technology which is the step down process of the tube and that gave them a little more power. Then, they have there new thing" I think they call it fusion tech". Which they do in fact use a little something, I cant say where or what it is. only thing is that it is in the tube and it does trick the ecu and that is where there gains really show. I had a a dyno graph up not to long ago. Ill see if i cant dig it up again. Havent had time to go out and take pics of the tube and stuff yet. But all your going to get is an outside tube shot no inside the tube shots Ill have to ask if i can show whats inside or not.

Tricks the ECU huh? I can't wait for somebody to install one of these on their car with an AccessPort or the RB flash. Popped motors: not just for the FI crowd anymore!

If you're into the whole "hide everything with plastic" stock look, yeah. I don't care for it personally... call me crazy but I like being able to see my battery terminals, dipstick, oil fill, etc without having to remove a bunch of plastic covers.
