the reason is actually because of two devices ( the mr tech and the fusion) Both of which are patent pending. I believe they explain the MR Technology on there website but im not allowed to talk about the fusion technology. but youll know exactly what it is when you get the kit. I dont have pics of the unit except on my cell phone. They have to send some parts out to be completely finished cause everyone knows the prototype looks kind of junky. So even i have to wait to actually drive the car with the intake. they said about two weeks so ill have some pics and ill let you know how she feels!

didn't your last dyno day show lower numbers WITH nitrous? you should know that they wont all be accurate... the dyno could just be off a bit... what matters more is the difference being shown between stock and with the intake. Though that doesnt mean I believe it. I either need to see an independent test of it or someone watching it being run, installing the intake, and run again without anything else changed before I'd believe it with no questions asked.

I do have good dynojet dynos somewhere on this board........so no worries from me here
however, the OP's # seems to be er.......correct, and low, maybe his Air filter was uber clogged, or maybe MAF sensor was full of dust?
running the 8 with no intake wouldn't even free up as much hp....
I say electric supercharger

I honestly find it hard to believe... but I know nothing about this company or what they've done in the past so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. No offense to the OP but I think your anticipation is going to lead you to have a bit of a placebo. Before I'll believe it we'll need multiple vehicles showing similar results independent of injen being involved (so they cant have any possible way of skewing results). I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they made one better than the rest, but I do have doubts about how much better.
And Taja, I wasn't saying your car did bad, I was pointing out that you know dynos can be messed up. I'm actually glad you did your nitrous runs since it gives me an idea of what I'm getting from my set up (55 shot).

Where are the graphs of the 9 other runs in between these two?
These are not great numbers. We had an NA with Racingbeat Revi do 205 HP. So it looks like you have about 20 HP to go.
Better try it on a dozen more cars and then we'll see what kind of increases you actually get.

Injen spends a lot more time on the design process in each of there units compared to lets say k&N who puts a pipe and a filter and calls it quits. They spent a whole week designing this kit to get every ounce they could out of it while still making the car run well. Yes they could get more even the guy said "i can get more out of this but they still want the car to have a good idle". They even have there powerflow box on this unit which has only been used in trucks before to see if they could get a more subtle tone from this intake. They'll show what theyve done in there press release for the unit but until then guess you'll just have to either beleive the "magial" part or that the company really is trying new things and benefitting from them.

Peak Tq is almost always at 5500, and Peak HP at 8500.
