not really sure what i can say right now but. but I get the car back tomorrow so I can post the dyno sheets and pics of it. I can say that Injen technology will soon be selling an intake for the rx-8, and this thing is hot! I kind of snuck a few peeks in while they were doing it and there pulling some amazing numbers out of this. If youve driven with the k&n intake in (like me) you may notice the kind of dead zone in the 7k to 8k range were the power band kind of drops off. The Injen actually increased that midrange drastically and the top end gained even more. I know the actual numbers, but there still working on it so I dont want to give any bad info out. The actual unit there using has never been seen in a car before.( ill explain that tomorrow) I cant wait to drive it. Save your money cause your going to want this.

odd, as there isnt any other intake on the market that has shown even remotely amazing numbers
what is drastic to you? 5whp - 3lb/ft??
i really doubt it.
not completely dismissing it as a possibility, but its extremely unlikely as any seriously notable gain over the OEM intake system will have to compromise at some other point in the power band.

Well, I'll have the proof tomorrow hopefully! and the gain is constant throughout the powerband unlike other intakes that drop and rise through it. but they're in the double digits of hp gain .there using powerflow tech and there new fusion technology in this intake. you can check out the powerflow tech out on there site. For the short time i was there i know he commented on the ecu learning and after a few pulls the gains would slightly go down but with a few modifications(powerflow and fusion) it maintained the constant gain and is almost near completion. they were trying to squeeze a few more horses out of it last i heard. But the proof comes with the graph. just wait for my post and see for yourselves.

^ that is until the PCM wtf rapes you back to stock performance
its ok, I assume they are giving you the prototype for free anyways no?
John i think also had a prototype something intake in his car
but his custom one still pretty much raped everyone else's on the dyno regardless
