im happy to say that i FINALLY got my 8 back today and boy did i miss my baby... haha my rental car was an old Grand Am... so needless to say, its as if i'm driving her again for the first time... so tight and sturdy compared to the big lunker they gave me.

 

Hey All. I just bought an '04 RX-8 today and I LOVE it! It's amazing to drive as you all know, and I just can't get enough. It's cool to see so many South Carolina members, and if there's ever a meet anywhere around here (I'm in Greenville) I'm all over that.

Grrr....900 miles on the new engine and the "check engine" light comes on today. No weird noises or anything, but who knows what this is.

That sucks.....especially 900 miles later. How long have you had it back from Wray??

It may be something minor though...I'd wait to see what they say.

 

I've had it back for about 5 weeks. Drove it to Myrtle Beach last week and it seemed fine. It still sounds and feels ok so I'm hoping this is nothing big.

 

My CEL just came on and I took it in to the dealer. It ended up being some kind of sensor (I forget), but under warranty they're fixing it and they even supplied a rental car. Hopefully it's a simple fix for you too.

Hey guys!! I FINALLY got my car!! It's a 2007 GT, crystal white pearl w/ red and black interior. I had the spoiler put on Friday, and it is sooo awesome!! I'll put pics up as soon as I get around to taking them.

hey...new here...down in Charleston..originally from Clemson, SC.

 

so when is the next SC RX-8 meet? Seems like we are growing in numbers and could possibly have a good meet and good turn out.

 

I see several RX-8's around here in Anderson and Clemson. just about every color, and only get a wave back from a few. what is up with that? seriously though, we need to organize a meet somewhere, maybe in Columbia (though it isn't my favorite town) since it is central. After going to a couple meets while I was in Houston and had a great time, just made me want to see a good turn out meet here in South Carolina.

Anyone down for organizing it? i am not familiar with Columbia and know there are several who are here, maybe we can set a date for a couple of weeks down the road? I know we have had some members organize a couple meets, so how about we try again?

 

You know I'm down....we had a small turnout in Columbia earlier this year but it was fun. Anyone else out there interested?

 

I am ready and willing to drive to columbia, got a few friends to visit anyway....
