C'mon guys, we're making this harder than it needs to be. If someone chooses not to go to a bar (for a brew--not to get shitfaced), then so be it. Its no biggie. Thats like an optional part of the meet.

We just need to decide on a place to meet, hangout, and actually get a club started. Frankies was suggested eairlier but sounds like nobody wants to go there. I honestly dont care where we meet up......just as long as we do. I like the idea of grabbing lunch somewhere. I'll make the suggestion of maybe going to a car wash to clean up the whips or to a bowling alley for a competitve game of bowling afterwards. Lets agree on an agenda and move on.

haha before you left i was 8'less... but in just the past week i was able to snag one up! im over at the OWS just down the street from you. Ive driven by EOD and have seen your 8 there many a time, very nice Color is brilliant black.

1 . I never said shitfaced, thier are three modes to drinking. having 1-3beers 4-7beers and then 7-untill every girl is fine mode .

2. Frankie's is now under construction. Im not sure how long thier going to be under.

3. 8 ball USC motorsports meets up every wed night around 8:30 @ sonic downtown we have two RX8 in the club & two RX7 (well kinda one has an LS1 so i dont count it haha) and then a hand full of other fun whips. we meet to talk about upcoming autoX's and then after the meet we head to the art bar for karaoke.

 

what time is the planned meet? i unfortunately have to work this saturday until 3:30, but may be able to get off a little earlier. I would have a 2 hour drive ahead of me i believe so if we met around 6:00 or so I am already there.

 

ok, so who here is actually from columbia and knows of something cool to do, I really dont care if its in a parking lot somewhere and we just come by to oggle others cars. We just need something.

There is a car hangout on sat nights somewhere around here...not sure where but can find out. STREET RACING IS BAD MK might know.

We can start later in the day and skip lunch if people can't make it out early. Tigerfootball, we should still be around at 6:00pm....not a prob.

 

every Fri and Sat all the import tuners come out to harbison and show off their cars behind sonic drive in. theirs a huge parking lot behind the drive in. The problem is that it's a hit or miss kind of thing. Some Sat I see up to 50-80 cars. I'm talking show cars not civics! Some nights its only 20+crap cars and some nights theirs only 5 cars out thier. It's really all about the weather and the flip of a coin if theirs a crowd. But one thing is sure their are never rotory's their. the tuners come out at night around 9-10. I will be their if you guys want to have a meet and greet at that location.

 

O sorry i forgot you guys are'nt from columbia. Its a road called Harbison BLVD. off I26 Get off the exit and sonic will be on your right after about 1-2 miles when you get off the exit you can make a left or right, you want to go right. the new location is only about 2 miles from frankie's so it's not a big move.

 

Harbison is the only spot I knew about......but was under the impression the cops shut down the parking lot. (thats what happend the last time I was out there...which was a couple months ago)

Anyways, if its still where people are meeting up then we should make a showing. We'll get the group together before heading out. Maybe we'll catch a good turnout.

I have driven through the lot the last couple weeks. so far the cops just watch to make sure tha no one does anything stupid...... guys if you want to have a big meet and drive you 8 like mad then chack this out. http://www.dealsgaprotaryrally.com I went last year with 3 other rotary's from columbia and we had a blast. um the meet had about 200 hundred rotary's so it was big lol. we could use more SC cars their. Um we need to figure out a time to meet.

Lets meet up at 6:00pm in the Columbiana Mall parking lot. This gives everyone time to do what they have to do in the day time and get into town. The mall is a easy landmark and should be an easy find. We'll meet up in the front lot. Me and a buddy of mine will be there. If anyone has any questions about how to get there I'll pm my cell to those who posted about coming to this. We'll decide where to eat once everyone shows up.

For those curious, the meet went great! It was a small showing but you can't expect much for the first SC RX8 meet ever. Those in attendance were me, a buddy of mine, WantedTwo, and STREET RACING IS BAD MK. We went out to the local car spot for a little bit before the cops broke it up (because the street sweeper needed to clean the lot....according to WantedTwo ) I must say though, there were some weird whips out that night

Anyways, looking forward to having another meet in the near future to meet the rest of you rotor heads on here. The guys I met that night were cool as hell and things are sounding promising for another get together.

Yeah, sorry about the no-show. One thing about being married is to know that it's time to do what SHE wants you to do. Visiting her aunt after a knee operation yesterday was one of those. Oh well, can't blame her for having feelings... And after being away for the majority of last week, that meant putting ten pounds of things to do in a five pound time slot. That included over two hours of choir rehearsal. Oh yeah!!! I was awesome today! Playing the drums. Of course. Not that I can't sing. But yeah, we were sitting in the horsepittal when you guys were meeting-up...

 

wish i could have been there... being on shift work and such and working on the weekends kinda ruins it... i do highly hope to make the next one!

 

i really wanted to make it but then again, i am broke, had a long drive ahead of me (was already tired after getting off work) and had no gas.

but i can't make excuses like that. i hate that i missed it. when is the next meet? wanna shoot for another one in a few weeks?
