does anyone want to try and get a meet together in SC? Greenville, Rock Hill, Columbia (boo!), Myrtle Beach? maybe we can get a big meet together. I am not creative enough to think of fun places to meet but I think we really need to get another meet together soon.

 

I am always game for Charleston. Best place to go in SC by far. I went to C of C and it is always a great time to go back. If anyone will be up there for a weekend then let me know.

Hi all,

As you can see I don't reside in SC but the actual reason for me to write in this section is to ask you all locals for help.

During the Labor day weekend I took a trip down to GA and on the way back I got nailed with a speeding ticket (80/60mph) at Duncan city, Spartanburg county on I-85 north by the city cop.

now, the million dollars question is:

Do you know or can recommend a lawyer that could represent me in court? court date is 10-22-10

all i know is that there isn't any lawyers in Duncan, you ll have to get one outta spartanburg county.

The reason they probably denied you for the ticket is there is a big Police Initiative going in Spartanburg county called Operation Rolling Thunder.

Basically, you broke the law, got caught, tough break for you. Slow down.

They are putting out a message.

I drove through there last week as well on my way back to Greenville, and easily saw 50+ police cars of every description with cars pulled over, or waiting on the off-ramps and underpasses to catch speeders.

Long story short, RX-8 get tagged so set the cruise and just enjoy the drive.

On another note, I was able to contact this guy Ray Lord who said he'd take my case for $300 flat fee to show up on the court date. but he makes no guarantees. and plus I don't know whether that's what the going rate is. I just have no idea! never needed a lawyer before .

I was at Quaker Steak and Lube the Saturday after Thanksgiving watching my Tigers get embarrassed by South Carolina But yeah it is a pretty cool little place there.

 

im from easley but now im in ft hood i still miss those lonely nights in walmart parking lot with the old type R lol so much fun i still stop by in easley/greenville every now n then when i get the time about to bring Tha Shinka to easley here in a few weeks see if anyones got any speed because the new vtec killer had awoken one iraq tour and 10,000 bucks later lol

Hey guys, new RX-8 owner from greenville. picking her up tomorrow morning. I'm a Audi guy at heart, Have a imola yellow B5 S4 as my toy but wanted a fun daily driver so I decided on a 8. I know almost nothing about these cars so I'm going to have to do some learning. I do everything myself on my S4 and I want that to be the case with the 8 one day. would love to meet some of you in the area if anything is going on anytime soon.

I am from the summerville area and should have an rx-8 by the end of april. there is an '09 Black r3 for sale at the stokes mazda dealership with 3000 miles on it if anyone is interested!

 

SS rx-8 in the greenville/Anderson area. I wouldn't mind heading out to a meet on the weekend sometime. The weather has been kind of hit or miss lately but looks like it's getting more and more agreeable for good drives.

P.S. I see a blue rx-8 sitting at Tabernacle Baptist Church down the street from my house all the time not sure if the owner is on here though.
