Guys,
My gauges are on and working. I want to pass something on. Our oil temps take longer than you may think to warm up. When my factory water temp gauge reaches "normal operating temp" the oil temp is not even 100F. The oil is still cool. So when you 1st start this car up and warm her for the track or the street --go easy on her until about 3-5 miles(no traffic) AFTER the factory temp gauge gets to normal running temp mark. Oil does it's job lots better when it gets to the right temps.
Also idle oil pressure with 5w/20 oil (at 160F) is about 10! Go easy on the rev-ing, racing the engine from idle.
We do have cooling work to do IMO.

I should be. Probably be a rolling chicane in HPDE 2, but I might as well throw myself into the pond. My theory is that if I am on track with faster drivers, maybe I can learn form them. They are faster for a reason, and it is not always the car.

Phlash, what kind of cot are you thinking of bringing for me? I could just bring an air mattress if it is too much for you to lug around. Might be a good investment anyway. Always nice to triple up on these trips to save money.

Unless you just want to go out and buy one for later, I have a queen air mattress already. I was going to bring it. The only thing we would need is a pillow and blanket.

I just found out today that another buddy of mine from down here with the twin turbo 350Z is coming to this event. We'll caravan together. Make sure you treat him like ****, I know we don't like outsiders in our cult.

He has a truly amazingly powerful car with a great setup. Should be interesting to see him on the track. Well tuned Twin Turbo system, Tein Flex Coilovers, wide *** racing rubber. He's invested a lot of money in it. I can't wait to see smoke him!

Signed up for HPDE 2 yesterday--good to go. Wife is doing OK but is unsure if she will come to this--never-the less she INSISTS I go. She may be able to come down for a day. Due to the chemo she cant stay in the sun for long periods. I have a good wife. I am lucky. Maybe it's the Ativan ---lol?
Gauges look pretty good. I have to blackmail my teenage son to show me how to post the pictures i took(finally learned how to work that dang digital camera). i posted on my other thread the basics of the install. i will be glad to show ya'll and provide details when we meet up. I used the AutoMeter Pro-Comp liquid filled mechanical 2 5/8 gauges with their AutoMeter black gauge pods.
Roebling is going to be hot! Weather wise! Who is Stop and turn freak riding with this time?
I may be interested in moving up to 3 soon.
I also will have another little surprise--I will see if anyone notices it.
