AC believe it or not our a/c cycle's automatically--whether it is turned on or not. Now it doesnt at WOT but many times on the track you are not at WOT. I dont know if it is kicking in on the track or not--but hey it is an easy thing to do and if lighten pulleys help then removing the a/c drive (sort of like Mazdaspeed track cars do---sorta) then it probaly would free up 1-2 hp. Wouldn't hurt anything.
Shaping up for a beatuful w/e.
Idea--we could wrap a car in plastic wrap(Saran or something) thing place stickers all over that --take the picture--maybe even sitting on the track--then remove the saran wrap! That would work and I bet GRM has never seen a car covered completly with their stickers before! That would be great. Thoughts?
Dont forget to bring extra oil guys and a jacking board. I jack only one wheel at the time.
Anyone want to try premix? I will bring some extra just in case.
See everyone tomorrow at Wendys at 1515.

i like having the A/C on while sitting in grid. It gets hot out there. I just have to remember to turn it off.
I am bringing two jackboards, one to hopefully raise the tire up enough to get the jack on the jack board under the lift point. two hefty pieces of PT 2x8, hopefully that will work out, otherwise, tire changing will be a real PITA.
I can't wait, the day is half over, only a few more hours until the weekend starts for me.

Well guys, not sure I am going to make it. I have a few calls to make, but I may have to stay home and work. I haven't had enough time to get the things accomplished I would like, and with traveling the way I do, i can't put this off. I will let you know for sure this eve, but for now, it doesn't look good.

I hate to hear that STF. I was looking forward to your company and another ride in your beast of a car. If only life didn't get in the way of track. Hope to see you next time.

Life has changed gears, again
That little 3yr old keeps me pretty busy.
Looked for rims for 5min today, still need them b4 heading to the track. Really wanted to surprise the GaRX8 group this weekend.
I think I've driven once in the last month or so, and he was in the back in the car seat(all smiles with his hands up!
The wife just graduated last week, so that will increase the free time. Maybe enough to even read the fun my RX8 Buddies have had in the last few months. The next goal is DRIVE more, track more..........smile more in Babygirl!!

Newly manufactured camera mount - installed
Vid and Still cameras(batteries charged)

Damn, that is embarrassing. I guess I need to delete my sent mail. I've never looked at it. All free now.
I usually tape my lights, just in case.
Bring pants, it is required.
Bring snacks and drinks (water or gatoraid)
Sunblock
Folding Chair (amazing how tired my legs get after a day at the track when I don't sit down)
Sunglasses
Helmet
Driving Shoes (if you have them)
You've covered all the other important stuff.

ALWAYS bring scotch tape and duct tape
and clean up stuff
chuck for your wheel if you are going to be changing them.
hat and sunglasses. vinyl gloves to keep your hands clean while working on your tires take out your floormats and leave them at home.

I will bring extra pre lube if anyone wants it. by the way i now use 50%lucas upper cylinder lube mixed with 50% yamaha blue. helps keep the injectors clean. I am also running 5/30w RP(sure makes for a higher oil pressure. on the adverage 10lbs) idle at 15 and max at 60-70 depending on temp.

I'm really looking forward to those gauges OD. I've got a whole lot of wire bundler I'm bringing that I've used on the 7. You're welcome to use what you need to insulate your gauge wires/hoses.
whiterex, I attached my track prep checklist. I made this, after my no long pants mishap at RA last year. I alos added a few things that TA had, and a couple that I wished I had at RA this year.
in 24 hours, we will all be at Roebling. the thought, is going to keep me up all night.

Well,
Things have worked out, but not in favor of track. Unfortunately, I have to stay home. No, wait, not unfortunately, but fortunately. I didn't realize how much I missed my daughter till tonight.
She and I laid in her bed and talked till about 10 minutes ago. I realized I haven't spent near enougn time with her. SO, I am going to give the wife a 'spa' weekend, and I am going to take my daughter horse-back riding.
I will miss your smiling faces, but I have to be responsible for my girl. I love her too dearly. I have to admit though, it was kind of funny to come home and find her old baby seat in the Evo. Um, strapped into the driver seat, so she could steer and make 'boost'. My wife said this is what she does in the evening while she makes dinner. She will also grab tools and 'work' on the car. As noted by the scratches on the fenders from 'tuning' my baby.
Anyway, thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing her on horse-back *(2yrs old), riding the oldest horse in NC (47years old). And yes, she can ride, not just be lead. The trainer said she is a natural, and hopes to have her walking horses through bars by next year for competitions.
I will be at CMP with the Mustang group though, with my new camera and 7RA1 donations.
