I like that forecast a lot better. The whole poossbility of rain on our track weekends, has been the one thign that has made me a bit weary about pulling the trigger on R compounds.
Looks like there is a chance TorqueAholic will not make it. I may need a roomie. Unfortunately I am currently booked at a diff hotel than anyone else. and there are no more rooms at the Red Roof...

Very true on the track set up STF. Plus the 8 is --er would you say a "little" differant than that beast you drive! The one thing I miss in the 8 is the ability to "explode" out of a turn.
Once FI is mature for this car (like the 3nd gen) and reliable power is available then maybe we can compare a little. I still will not back into a tree in the pits with it--at least I hope I dont LoL--I will not ever forget that! Oh yea --guys --I just put 5W/30 RP in and my ildle oil pressure went from a 5 to a 15! It really doesnt feel or look thicker than the 5W/20 but it is!

BUMMER YALL!
TorqueAholic ain't gonna make it to Roebling. I was really looking forward to burn some Falken rubber around Roebling but I had to bail today. I found out last night that my 7 year old daughter has a ballet recital next saturday, she only has one a year and I can't miss it...
TrackAddict and I scratched our heads really hard to find a way around the problem. Like doing the morning run, drive to Cumming and drive back to Roebling that night. The 4.5 - 5 hours each way makes it tough.. Especially if you get stuck in traffic for whatever reason and miss the recital anyway..
I tried talking to Julie (@ NASA) to see if they would cut me a deal for Sunday only but no dice..
You know what they say: they grow up fast and those moments never come back... I found out it's mostly true so I won't miss it.
Besides there are many more rubber burnin' opportunities over the rest of the season so I guess it'll be Carolina Motorsports Park next (Unless I find a Barber event to tie me over.. ).
Oh well, you got to be a good daddy

Love the flames shooting out!
So let's see you have an aftermarket turbo kit w/ I.C., no cats and you are running a a/f mixture of < 12?
Do you think the splitter and wing helped?

Well, I had planned on working ont he car today, but the rain, coupled with the fact that my toolbox is in my wifes car, which is not at home, I am screwed. I hope it does not rain tomorrow. Lot 'O work to be done on the old car.
The schedule looks good, looks like us HPDE 2 folks get to close the day out on Saturday, that should be fun. Less than a week now, this time next week, we willl all be at the track, getting high on race gas, and hits from the "go-fast track pipe" This is a good thing.
EDIT
Ok, so after reading all the new rules and what not, I am unsure about when and where my car will get teched. For those in HPDE 1 & 2, does our car still get teched by our instructor, OR do we need to go through the tech process like the racers. To me it looks like us HPDE folks are supposed to line up in the pre-grid area and get teched. Why am I so confused by this?

Ok guys
What is the participating list now with the changes?
Who is going? WHat time are we meeting in Macon and who is in the convoy?
My car is ready except for small oil leak from the RB sending unit--hopefully that will be fixed tomorrow. It is just a fitting thing.
So are we all teching our cars on Friday? And didnt they say that paddock areas will be assigned? If so where are we?
How many days?
Sorry Torque that you cant make it-- but as said your daughter is 7 ony one time--so be there Dad!
