Jessiah that is a security issue on our end. We had too many spammers with german IP addys and we had to block them. I will look into it and see what we can do.

Yo I cant log into the GaRX8 website. I changed my email adress info and havent been sent a confirmation yet.

 

Another new GA owner here. Just picked up an 09 R3 and will be living in Savannah in about a month and some change. Just finishing up our deployment to Afghanistan here.

Can't log into the garx8club.com from here as we run through a German server as well for our personal internet. Will be checking that site out on arrival back in the states.

Will hopefully be participating at least semi regularly in autox and am happy to do meets and such as well. No worries about the site as the time I have to check in and post between now and arrival stateside will be severely limited.

I heard Manas is a great temperature right now, can't wait to pass through there. I'm moving into an empty house when I get back so I've got to stock the liquor! Around a month to go for myself, now. Manas is Manas, nice to see the second time(or 4th time for me) means you are on the way home. Nothing else nice about Manas. I am currently homeless, will be living with a friend for a couple weeks til I find a place. He gets back a week before me, so he had better have the fridge stocked with beer.

My 8 should be in Charleston with my folks, so on the 48 hour pass, I will shoot up there and pick it up. It is black of course. I nearly bought a brand new 2010 in Blue for just a couple grand more than I paid for the 09, but just couldn't come to terms with the color, have owned nothing but black cars and bikes. Old dog, new colors and all. . .

I am sure I will probably drive it the first couple weeks while I sell the other car and then pick up a beater for the commute. I will be too **** to park it in the unmarked lot of chaos over by our hangars. I may just park it on the flightline if I can't find a "safe" spot for it.

 

No doubt. Back to counting on one hand tonight. I keep checking the flight tracker over and over seeing for changes. I'm going to be the first one to the new empty house. Going to have to stop by the liquor store on the way home from base, lol! My roommate is buying all the furniture when he gets back in November, since I'm leaving, but I'll have to rough it till he gets home.

My 8 is still in Savannah. Had a buddy look after it while I was gone, went on leave for two weeks, put 2k miles on 'er, got back, and 2 weeks later my buddy wrecks it. So, it's still in the shop, praying it's done in time. It's over at Danny Paez's body shop Auto Perfection. He's awesome when it comes to body work. He's the one I went to get a repaint and install the MS bumper earlier this year.

I know exactly what you're talking about, that disaster of a parking lot in front of the big gate next to the climbing ropes, and then there's that dirt pothole hell in front of the little gate next to the 4-3 building. I always park at the marines parking lot, they get mad, but ****, I need somewhere to park where my car isn't going to get trashed. Especially since they put up those no parking signs across from the battalion so we couldn't park in the grass anymore. You'll see all the guys from RaceLine Performance Motorsports park at the marines. They have HUGE decals on the top of their windows. I think it looks ridiculous, it's why I never joined their 'club'.

I'm praying that after a year of the whole Brigade being gone they've made some improvements to the parking situation. If they haven't I'm not going to be happy, but can't do anything about it. Hope to see you back there, you should come over for a beer! I live 45 seconds from Rio gate. :D
