For some reason, we are starting to get new members from the military and that is pretty cool. Coming back from Afghanistan for the second time! Haha. Thinking about having a get together for my fellow rotorheads. I know everyone's probably going out of town for July 4th so I'll be shooting for the week after. Might be a luncheon or some thing, if you're in Savannah or willing to travel to Savannah that week I'll definitely get a head count and start planning something for my "Thank God I'm back in the US" party.

 

Jessiah, you have quite a group of military guys starting to join GARX8CLUB.COM and Savannah is becoming a nice base for these guys. I strongly suggest you post on our forum. There is a Coastal Empire PCA event at Roebling Road Raceway coming up soon (June 11-12) and has a Heros on Track group that is awesome. Last year I ran with this group and had a hero ride with me 4 times on track. One of the best events I ever drove. Great fun for a great organization. Sorry I will not be able to join you in July.

 

I'm surprised you don't remember! I was the one you drove for at the last Heroes event! It still means a lot to me to this day!

I would be more active on GARX8Club.com if it wasn't blocked by the BlueCoat here. RX8Club.com isn't for some reason so that's why I use it instead while I'm out here. I'll go to the MWR later and repost on the GA forum! I've never done any track stuff before, but I'd definitely like to join in on some of the fun when I get back!

No worries, it still means a lot to me! I definitely need to get back in the loop with the GARX8 guys. All this deploying makes you a stranger back in the US that's for sure.

Yup, that's what probably threw your memory off! I thought my signiture would ring a bell since it was on the flyer you printed of me! Ah, those were the days. No worries, I should've kept the same name on RX8 and GARX8.

 

I may be wrong but I think the issues with you trying to get logged in was a reason you changed the username. Anywho... great to talk at ya again and you are welcome to ride with me anytime I get back on track. Which will probably not be this year. I don't have a track car anymore. If/when I go back to tracking, I will have a dedicated car. We'll just have to get you and your car on track with the gang. :D
