Yes to both of the above.
I decided to give the Super Sports a try as Tire Rack has them significantly outperforming the DWs in the wet (0.5 sec on a 30 second course). Given how many points are decided in cool, wet conditions here in Oregon & Washington, I decided to spend the extra cash and see how it turns out.
Also, I dislike a soft sidewall on the street, but that's just a subjective preference.
But yes the DWs are a known quantity and do great in the wet. Cheap too.

lol pot, meet kettle?
So Brian, what's actually different about these shocks from the Motons? They're plenty expensive, but like Moton before them, their website is completely lacking on any details about how they're different from any of the competition.
I find shopping for dampers a very frustrating experience. Every other $5k+ product spends a lot of marketing time telling consumers why they're better than the other guy, with lots of details. Damper manufacturers just put "we're betterer!" on their website and hope people come to them with big wads of cash? wtf?

We autocrossed them last weekend and it was a blast. Car feels so much more confidence inspiring in that it doesnt get as upset with rough pavement and settles quicker over bumps. Steering feels sharper with the added front compression vs the Koni.
Should have a second OS Giken diff coming soon. Jeff had detuned the one in our car by deactiviting the outside disc when he set it up, and I want to compare it with a stock configuration OS Giken. Anyone on here play with tuning these things up?
Put some Pilot Super Sport tires on my wife's Genesis a couple of months ago, and like them a lot for DD tires. Have not autocrossed them though. Not a fan of not being able to flip them, and also not having 255/40-17.

It is the same setup as the FD3 unit intended for the factory power output range. So if your Renesis output is up to snuff you shouldn't have to touch it IMO. If not, it will probably push on corner exit. You certainly don't adjust it by deactivating discs. Sounds like someone doesn't really understand how the OSG works and/or know what they are doing.

What spring rates did you go with Eric? I'm trying to get my hands on a lightly used set of Ohlins revalved for 11k / 6k springs. Unfortunately, we only have one event before the MD Pro, so I'm reluctant to make such a drastic change (along with changing to a different tire this year) before the start of the season.

looks like the Texas Sun Belt Tour will have it's usual low turnout

zelse has Ohlins, you can just ask him, I don't see how it made sense to swap out the Bilstein PSS9s for them, but that's just me
of course I would have just been me and swapped them out with Koni 2812s
