Actually I think my point was that he wouldn't necessarily be stuck with 19% interest on an unsecured personal loan like someone above said, I was trying to direct him on a solution by sharing a personal situation. I thought that was fairly obvious but I appreciate your failed perspective on things.

Honestly - if you need a payment plan, you cannot afford to go FI. There is always more stuff to buy, more tuning to be done, more gauges to purchase. It's nothing like NA modding. The cost of the kit usually ends up being just 50% of what you'll end up spending. More so if the unexpected happens.
