If you want to do the job once, I would. The greddy units are very nice quality. They just have to be messaged a bit thats all.

I was going to ask about the hose fittings too on the water lines but I finally got them on. The bottom line is a mother f'r to get the clamp on. I just used the t/b lines and the one was super long and the other one just barely gets in there. Im hoping it wont leak from the amount of times I took it on and off. Need to try and tie the one line to something cause it hangs really close to the turbo.

you guys give me some suggestions about the water lines. If they need to be shortened I would like to make the corrections so that other customers will have it easier!

saturday i was able to spend a couple of hours on putting the car back together, got the coolant lines hooked up to the turbo..the way bryan supplied the coolant lines i was able to hook up the hoses without clearance issues or kinks...one concern is the lower line is lightly resting against the wastegate shaft, think it will be ok?

the lower coolant line to the throttle body is very short, i used a 3/8 barb fitting from home depot to enxtend the hose

the upper coolant line to the throttle body has plenty of line to reach the turbo

this is the best shot i could get of the turbo actually mounted

All that is left is to hook up my intercooler piping add oil and im ready for startup!
hope these pictures help!

Greg I was thinking that lower coolant line can be wrapped with Kapton tape used for high temp electronics in my world. I'll ask if I can have a small bit, a little goes a long way. Another option would be installing a sleeve over that area, it shouldn't be heat that's a concern but like Konig mentioned it would probably wear over a long long long period of time. several layers of rubber and fibers. how long, depends on vibration.

I miss my turbo KA setup

You did the smart thing of putting the actuator on before you mounted the turbo. Im having a hell of a time getting the top bolt in, between the coolant lines. I need someone with small hands! I dont even know how Im going to tighten in up.....

That's a fantastic idea! Damn me for not thinking of that Well you have to remove the coolant line tho?

I figure next time I turbo I'll just use a turbo timer and say eff the coolant lines.

Just zip tie the 2 water lines together where they come off the fittings. That should keep the lower rubber line from resting on the actuator arm. Looks like a good fit to me! Also looks pretty easy to get to on the car as well.

I may put a 45 degree barb fitting there just to make it easily bolt up.

^^i was actually not looking foward to installing those lines but if you mount them when the turbo is loose in the motor mount location its very easy...the design is pretty close to perfect!

i dont think so...but the aem cai seems to be the easiest solution...i would also pm fluid motorsports and see if he has any, apparently he has quite a bit of maz-sport parts left over

I would have the same exhaust setup you have if I did. Post up some sound clips when it's installed.
