Dropped off the car this morning at the dealership to get a new engine put in. Was hoping to be in the "Original" engine crew

Installed new MB Battles 18x9.5 +15 offset with 245/40/18 Continental ExtremeContact DWS, the rears are rubbing like hell, I'm gonna have to roll the fenders if not stepping down to a 35 profile tire

I took my new Thule bike rack out for a drive today complete with 3 bikes and 3 people. I have to say it ruins the feel of the car but I had to make it at least a little bit practical. My bikes are actually worth more than the car but more importantly, I can now travel to rides in the 8 and enjoy the trip too.
A small sacrifice for a lot of fun. I'll put photos up somewhere once I work out how to do it!, lol.

Rescued my 2011 r3 from the shelter today and made a four hour trip home in it. Had my kid in the car so I didn't get crazy but did punch the gas a couple of times.

Installed my polished AEM I got from Amazon. Sounds amazing once it hits 6,000 RPM. Obviously, there are barely any gains, but the the throttle response is nicer and runs a tad smoother.

Oil changed with 10w-30 and used bosch 3323(Series II oil filter, an inch longer than 3300 which is for Series I) after reaching 10,000 miles in my reman-engine.

You don't need a 35 aspect ratio, you need to go less than 245 width and try to flush the tires. 225 is possible with 9.5 width rims, you could do 215 as well but it would look ugly on stock height.

Removed the front and rear aluminum rotary accents to see if I can get them back to chrome shiny. How do you polish aluminum?

On saturday I installed Powertrix coilovers, MS sway bars & AEM intake. Will post pictures once I get the ride height dialed in.
