lol thats no quite the same. if your talking about the JIC Magic rx-8 in modified mag several months back. thats a basicly stock setup from the rx7 completly modifed to go into the 8, that would cost us prolly 20k or more as much work as that car has in it. and its just not practical, i mean yeah its pretty damn cool and the only thing anybody could think of when the car first came out and didn't have a turbo on it (heh-why not through in a rx7 motor, there both rotories, it can't be that hard.) well they were wrong thanks to mazda. and yeah i got them in a magazine and alot of good credit and advertisments, but not even close to practical for your everyday john.

why not supercharge? the 8 lacks power at the lower end more than it does towards the higher end, I know you lose some power to the supercharger but you gain it at the low end along with extra torque where you need it most.

I agree, I always thought if we can have a (close to flat) torque at a lower rpm all the way close to 8500 rpm but not too much increase in hp (even 280 crank hp is enough for me), it would be sufficient enough to have some more fun.
