401k has to be provided for you by an employer. If I were you I'd look into a Roth IRA. All you need is employment income, or to be the spouse of someone with employment income. https://personal.vanguard.com/us/acc...iewContent.jsp
Sorry for being a bore, but personal finance stuff is kind of an interest/hobby of mine. I know, I'm sick in the head

I know, I did the Ford program for my security. Fords are in every city. Whether it's a dealership, or working for the city. Also, the Ford program deals heavily with electronics. So that will help with the tuner world, considering it's 80% electronics now. But you also have to think about all of the guys who just go in expecting to learn without putting forth the effort. Those are the douches fall asleep while in class, play on their phone, or just talk to their friends all day. I'm more disciplined then people older than me, and I know that for a fact. I plan on graduating at the top of my class
Are there really that many people who can't handle their finances?? Why do you need a financial advisor for? I have a friend who is one and I thought they would be doing something special but basically it was budgeting...He was telling me how much car I could afford but I knew that already...
save it, it builds up. i have my retirement savings and then i have a special program where i put 15% of every pay period into a savings plan i cant touch until i retire. i take home a little more then half of what i should be taking home but im choosing to save. by the time i retire i will have my retirement money to cover me, and my savings plan to spend on random stuff. estimated 1.2 million by the time i retire.
umm, the 8. btw, i was kidding about the bunny ranch, but i DO have a a 50 dollar gift card to walmart, so im going to go buy a bunch of pizzas and army men
