sooo, i got paid, a lot
holy **** Chet, sorry to hear about the accident. Are you rehabbing in order to be able to run / jump as you could before the accident? Worker's comp should cover rehab...
As for the $2,000. Hmm.... putting aside the 'bankers' hat for a minute, I say spend some of it on yourself / your car. you've been through an ordeal and if you can't spoil yourself for it, who can???
If you don't have intake / exhaust, that might be somethign to look into. If you do, I completely agree that Koni's + springs are a good idea. Throw in some sway bars and you're SET!
(plus you'll have money left over)

but i have found some pretty good deals on the koni's/tein S's/progress sways which would be $1037 altogether. but i have been thinking about the wheel/tire combo because this will be the only time i have this cash together, and i could get the other parts during the next couple months.
chet
i dont know much about your workmans comp case...and didnt really read the whole thread...but thought that 2k is not a lot for what you described....
does accepting this check mean that you wont receive any more funds?

i talked to a lawyer, because i was disqualified from the Army for this, but as it turns out, the workers comp is a 0 liability coverage type thing, so i cant sue. sure i would like more, but i think 2 grand is pretty good for just popping up out of no where.
i opened this thread expecting to see something around the lines of, "I just got 20k" but I suppose given the circumstances 2k is ok to get out of the blue. It really depends on your personal financial situation, but I'd spend half.
my finances are pretty secure right now, so i can blow it all, which leads me to this question again:
so what do you think, wheels/tires (18x9.5 RPF1 with 275/35/18 Toyo T1R) or the shocks/springs/sways + other stuff?

If your suspension is still stock, go with suspension first. Are you oppossed to coilovers? You could pick up the tien basics and some sways, then maybe even have enough money left over for some new rubber.
