There was an episode on Top Gear where they ran a 911 against a sportsbike at a track and the 911 beat it. The rider was some pro-racer. And the 911 prolly driven by Stig. The rider said that at the limit, handling on the bike at corners requires lots of skills whereas the 911 was better there.

Say what you want - the car is a POS. Not all RX8s are - never said that - but mine is!!!

And as far as the Goldwing - I also own a 2005 Harley Ultra Classic which has had nmore problems that my Goldwing has ever imagined. The Goldwing has never had one single problem in 40K plus miles - and the frame issue was only on a couple of years worth of production

Sorry that you ended up with a POS. I bought an 04 used and haven't had the issues you are. Every car produced will have some lemons, whether it be from the manufacturer, or being flooded and damaged.

As for the dealer offering a trade for a new one, I understand why you wouldn't want to get into another one due to the current problems, but I think the chances of you getting one with the problems you currently have would be incredibly slim. Yeah you will still have some warranty work, but everyone does, that is what it's there for.

The RX-8 is a great car, and I'm sure you would appreciate it as much as your previous rotaries had you not had the problems you do. I would trade for a new one if I were you and give it a second chance, but it's your money.

If you ever decide to post on a forum saying your car is a pos again, make sure you specify YOUR car and avoid the flame war that follows. Most people took it as you coming off as an a$$ and responded as such, but really, what can you expect from people who love their cars (at times more than their families) when someone comes here and calls the car a pos?

I think he should just get rid of it. Even if it was perfict, I do not believe it is the car for him. CTS-V, Gold Wing, Harley. Not your typical 8 lover.

Lets leave this guy alone. We dont need to convince him he is wrong. He is obviously here to ruffle some feathers. So what he got a POS. So what he is unhappy. He came here for a reason and for somone to sign up on a forum respond the the email to confirm and them come and post useless posts doesn't belong here. Lets leave him alone and hopefully he will join a Motorcycle forums and leave us alone.

What a loser Mazda is...I have driven RX-7 and RX-8s since 1985 - NEVER again will I own or even look at a Zoom-Zoom POS.

Just the fact that you're clowning the 8 means you probably don't really own one. Why would you get a car and then complain about it being slower than your bike, when you knew it was in the first place? So much BS. I have an '06 GSX-R1000- let's meet at the Dragon and see what's what.

BTW: Most Goldwings that venture the Dragon end up on this:

Good Job.
Thanks Dave, I just love the car. If you love somthing you have to know what your loving. the good and the bad. These forums can be a great tool for information and even Camaraderie. Somtimes when you talk down on somthing somone has great passion about you will get flamed. Somtimes doing research about somthing befor speaking makes the difference between being helpfull and make an *** of your self. I'd rather be helpfull. Misspelled words and all.

Then let's do it. I don't ride like a normal Goldwing rider - so will be glad to give it a go. I also am an experienced Dragon rider and driver but if you outdo me I will be the first to admit it.
